Dave Gilmour- Remember That Night: Live At The Royal Albert Hall

King Diamond: Give Me Your Soul... was one of my faves this year.
Too bad the tour is canceled :(

Absolutely a great show. A couple of the best versions of Echoes and High Hopes I've heard. Plus a killer lineup with David Crosby, Graham Nash, and David Bowie. Gilmour is in fine form as well.

One thing I noticed, it doesn't matter what guitar he plays, strat, tele, lap steel, it all sounds like David Gilmour.

The Absence - Riders of the Plague
Killswitch Engage - As Daylight Dies
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal

Sadly, the new Coheed record doesn't make my list. :(

The Chronicles of Israfel - Starborn, Tome I

Of the century in my opinion, friggin' LOVE Dom's new stuff. One of my favorite guitar players ever ever.

Definitely the best and most original new thing I have heard in several years, by a long shot.

Richie Kotzen - Return of the Mother Head's Family Reunion
Shaw/Blades - Influence
Michael Brecker - Pilgrimage
Paul Gilbert - Get Out of My Yard
Alter Bridge - Blackbird
Planet X - Quantum
Dave Martone - When The Aliens Come
Buckethead - Crime Slunk Scene
Gambale, Donati, Fierabracci - Made In Australia
Marc Rizzo - The Ultimate Devotion
Jonas Hellborg - Art Metal
Halford – Metal God – Essentials Volume 1

I thought I was going to get smacked for nominating that one, but since I didn't, I'll spank your avatar instead :D

I very rarely check `new` music anymore. I keep searching good, for me, new rock bands from the 80s instead BUT Nightwish's new album gets a honorary mention from me.

Ehh, I've fallen behind, tons of albums I need to listen to and form an opinion on. I need to listen to the new Mayhem, Marduk, Månegarm, Nifelheim, tons more.

Watain - Sworn To The Dark
Shining - V: Halmstad
Sigh - Hangmans Hymn
Limbonic Art - Legacy of Evil
Ensiferum - Victory Songs
Moonsorrow - Hävitetty

Locals
Wolves in the Throneroom - Two Hunters
Oakhelm - Betwixt and Between

New Queens of The Stoneage is phenomenal. So is Year Zero IMO. The latest Minus the Bear and Horse The Band are very good as well. Procupine Tree's new one is good. High on Fire, Orange Goblin, and Down all had good releases this year.

There were a lot of good albums in 2007.
