So, I am a Mills fanboy threw and threw. Even after everyone gives there opinion... I'll most likely grab another 2x12 or 4x12 afterburner.

That said, what custom cab company out there is really getting it done right in your opinion?

Stone Age make a great cabinet. I also like Vboutique.

Custom?

Hmm I do not have much xp with them. I absolutely love both my Mills but if I were to get something different...I want to try a Tyrant cab. They used to be Emperor/Dictator cabs.

I think even Tyrant may have gone under but there are a few of them available online and I heard nothing but great things about Emperor cab sound and build quality.

Jet City American are fantastic cabs and they don't break the bank. I own one of Doug's Whitebox cabs before he went full on Jet City with the name, and its a monster 2x12 for the cash and its a solid solid build.

I don't really know but of the (5) 4x12's I have my ranking order are Bogner w/V30, VHT FB w/ P50E's, JCM800 1960 with 75's, Splawn w/ Guvnor/Man o way in X and a Soldano with V30's

I've got a really unique cab being built by Mauler Cabs. Check his operation out on Facebook. He will literally build you anything you want however you want it. Stand up guy and his communication has been great so far. I can't wait to get mine.

Kerry Wright cabs - nobody builds a better cab IMHO
Runner up - StoneAge

Mojotone builds a nice B cab for under 500. I think they build the Splawn cabs?

Splawn builds their own cabs in their shop. I like their cabs.

Splawn cabs are KILLER. Especially for what they can be had for used.

Best is subjective but If i was going to buy a "best" cabinet it would be a custom Omega.

In a room, the wood and the cab dimensions plays a role. But, when you play live it is 95%+ the speaker alone. If you're going to spend money, buy a cheap/good used cab, Marshall/Mesa, and replace the speakers. You will be much happier in the long run, than buying a badge or nameplate.

-the one that builds your cab exactly how YOU want it-(EVERYTHING! All of it! 100% of the cab!, back panel & baffle, 3/4" Baltic Birch, cabinet grade- B-style- Over Sized)-I'll put this cab up against ANY 4x12 cab!!

-Pine board cabs are also very cool, as are Poplar board cabs,

-I don't do A-cabs, or any cab with a center brace-(its a red flag, a crutch, there "trying" to fix a problem with the cab, it means the baffle and/or the back panel are thin, and junk)-
