Thanks brother! I've been after one of these for a long time and had to jump on it when I saw one within my price range :)

Zendrive is the best OD i've played, but it's more than $100. You could probably find one used for less than $200 though if you aren't in a hurry. XTS Tejas Boost is cool too. Those are under $200 in the used market as well.

Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor. I've been through just about every dirt pedal made with my Plexis and this one always does it. It's tubes too....

Naked Overdrive by Dave Friedman?

I've heard great things about the Love Pedal Eternity OD as well.

What about the Radial ToneBone Plexitube? That thing sounds pretty awesome in the clips i have heard, and has plenty of gain ontap to drive even a totally clean amp into high gain tones..

Amptweaker Tight Rock. It'll get you there and then some.

Wow I really like the FX loop/sidetrack concept of these. One of these and a delay pedal and maybe a tite drive in the "sidetrack" and tuner and I could probably get by with any clean amp and do minimal tap dancing.

Exactly. It is a shame it doesn't get more attention because it smokes the rehashed crap mentioned over and over in this thread. :D

I have one but recommend it in front of a totally clean amp. Fender style...

It doesn't sound good at all in front of a plexi, especially if it is beginning to break up...

The 45/100 plexi is one of the cleaner marshall circuits. If aic and 80's type gain levels is what you plan on using it for then I would install a ppimv so that you can get break up at reasonable volume levels. I tried many pedals and it's hard to get one that does a good job with a stock non master plexi. I found that my plexi sounds great with my ho built/ ultimate attenuator which has dual masters and the variac plug. With the attenuation and slightly lowered voltage it seems to take and handle od pedals easier. Has anyone tried the lovepedal provalve 2 ?? Might be my next one to try out.
