O.K. a new combo,SG VooDoo (swamp ash) with a set of (MCP torques)Mod 50 with Bassman on B with the gain at about noon with EH pres and 5881 tung sol power tubes  Dude!!!vintage vibe all nite long :)

I use the TD and SL2 modules, and my main guitar has Duncan Alnico 2's. Those pickups are medium output and very clean and crisp. Basically they allow the amp to give the overall tone! They work really well when the coils are tapped. Just perfect for me

I've gone through a ton of pickup options, but I actually keep coming back to the DiMarzio Morse humbuckers and the Area single coils - 58 and 61. There are still little things I wish I could get them to do here and there, but these four pu's work together very, very well for my tones with all the Egnater modules.

My new Strat with Area 58 in the neck & 61 in the middle is almost finished.

I've spending a lot of time on Channel B of the Bassman module, EL 34 Power Tubes, Les Paul Standard with Suhr SSH (13K). Gets real interesting when I kick on the Zen Drive. WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's huge ... very huge

Hey how do you like those Suhr pickups? I was thinking about picking up the DSH for my PRS but I havent found a whole lot of info about them.

FOr heavy tones..........EMG 81 and anything with distortion on the Egnater side........
BLISS..........

I believe you are correct. I think MarK Day on youtube has an EMG 81 and the EMG SPC presence control in his les Paul. That and the Seminar amp for sure has the "It" factor.

Actually I think he said its an 85, and its a PRS Singlecut. ;)

I love them. They sound really great in my Les Paul. I have thought about trying them in my PRS too. I like them so much I put a nickel cover, Fender spaced (53mm) humbucker in my Strat that is being constructed by my friend and Luthier Ross Jennings. It's going to be a killer. Pics as soon as it's done.

I am also a long time Tom Anderson pickup user. Way underrated as far as I'm concerned.

Cool, thanks for the info! Ive got a Bulldog Hot PAF in my Custom 22 trem right now and I think it might be a little bright for it, maybe better for a Les Paul, although it still sounds great. I'll probably order a DSH for my PRS just to give it a try, i'll let you know what I think if I do. Do you have any experience with the Double screw vs. the Single screw pickups? I know the DS are supposed to have a sweeter high end but ive never really heard anyone directly compare two of the same model pickup.

Yes, I gathered the same from reading about the difference between the D and S series too. I only went with the S series because I wanted to retain the original nickel cover look on the LP. I know what you are saying though and I would recommend the D series with the smoother highs and better midrange. The PRS guitars can get a little biting with the very thick piece of maple they use on the top. I have a Tom Anderson H2+ in the lead position of my CE24 and it tames the high end bite down to my liking. That's my favorite pickup overall, but I am quickly changing over to the Suhr. Good stuff.

I normally hate EMG's, but damn, the 89/60 combo is the best pickups config I've heard on the Erect.

The Suhr Aldrich + SL2 is :D

+1 the Suhr Aldrich is perfect for the SL2 :D

The Suhr pickups are perfect for all modules, but SSH+ RIPS with SL2!!

Just gonna list the combos I really like:

VOX: tele (kinmans); 335 (highorders)
DLX: 335 (highorders); strat (kinmans); tele (kinmans)
SL: LP (motor city); 335 (highorders); strat bridge (HB, rio grande)
COD: strat (kinmans); LP (motor city)

WOW,I forgot about the EG3/4!!!! Took out the YJs EL84s and the Mod and 112 with CL-80 and Les Paul with MCP(Solutions) and just absolutely got lost for about 3 hours and just switched back and forth with the 3/4 loaded with a silver dragon and EH preamp tubes....No FX,just Mod........YA BABY!!!!!!!!!

Just got to post this one. Was playing out last nite. Used the EG4 with EMG's(81) and had a Boss SD-1 in front with VERY LITTLE gain on but the level almost high and it was the most SMOKING HOT tone you have heard!!
People were running over to check out what I was playing thru.....Unbelieveable. :worship:

I can't ever imagine owning another rig!!!Unless these guys out do themselves :D

I really enjoyed the SL alot... and the SL+ with the Bliss buckers and Blackbelts. I also ran the SL with really low (10'oclock) with the SD-1 (w/Blisster bucker)as a boost and it really lit up. The Biggest shocker was the Vox-B --Having the Mod50 is like having any amp at your disposal and the tones are so spot on its scary!!

+100000 ,Wade the Solutions are just INSANE and for being HO they roll off extremely well and keep the tone alive!!!Super fat tight bottom and a mid punch to die for and the highs ,don't even go there!!!It's the best HO pickup I've ever encountered for the high gain madness, don't get me wrong ,cause the others do there thing very well but it's like these things are active all by themselves.Hope the vintage stuff rolls in today
