Best "feeling" electric guitar you've ever played?

My white Tyler. It’s like they measured my hand and made the perfect neck. Its their ‘59 neck shape and it’s quartersawn maple.

Steinberger GM5T. I still hate myself for selling it. Honestly, it didn’t sound great but it played perfectly.

IME by far Marchione. It’s like a talent booster. Not even close for anything else I’ve tried. One of my friends especially became a different player when he tried mine. I told him I didn’t know you could play like that and he didn’t either lol. I do like Tao’s a lot too though

I used to be a huge Charvel fan and had this one aged nitro custom shop that was the best playing I tried, my favorite super strat I tried at the time by far, but then I brought it in to this local store with 2 Marchione’s to see if they were legit and from then on I knew I needed one and listed that Charvel for sale lol. Anderson’s and Suhr’s are nowhere near this level imo and tonally sound like just another choked poly finish guitar to me. Same with Mayones, but a bit better IME

It's interesting you think Marichione guitars are so incredible but Suhrs are so much worse/clinical/uninspiring, especially considering Stephen Marichione got his start as an apprentice under John Suhr, who taught him how to build guitars.

1994 PRS Custom22. it's been my #1 for 25 years. Sounds, plays, and feels perfect for me. Every amp, every tuning - spot on.
I think about this guitar even when I'm playing my other ones.

Yes, I’m very well aware of that (especially being from the nyc area by Rudy’s that had those Pensa/Suhr guitars) and have played WAY more Suhr’s than I have Marchione’s, but what can I say, that’s just been my experience

In terms of sound and playability the 2 brands really couldn’t be much more opposite for me other than aesthetics, which means absolutely nothing to me. All 7 of the Marchione’s I’ve played have this super wet/greasy, 3D, harmonically rich sound that even the best ‘50’s Gibson’s I’ve played couldn’t rival in that particular dept (including the ‘50’s LP JR’s I’ve had/still have), while almost all the Suhr’s I’ve played sounded sterile, choked, more on the dry side. 2 or 3 Suhr’s I’ve played were very nice, but nowhere near Marchione nor anything I’d consider at all exceptional

Playability wise also nothing alike to me. I don’t know how to describe playability that well verbally lol, but I’ll just say the Marchione’s for me are next level sleek, effortless and when I go back to any other guitar it feels cumbersome for me after lol (even my favorite aged nitro Charvel custom shops I’ve had or James Tyler). To me they’re just exceptional guitars and among the few non-vintage guitars to be legit for me. I know the prices you see online are nuts, but you gotta hunt around and sometimes find them for WAY less. Just my opinion of course as always

the shawn lane vigier neck had the craziest low action shred neck ever!
Mine wasn't a shawn lane, it was the single humbucker star shaped one iirc, picked it up off fleabay for under 1k...was an amazing guitar all around

Most are listing their personal guitars. I would say as ugly as they may be, those roasted neck EVH Wolfgang’s feel pretty great.

My Levinson Blade guitars. The slim necks are just perfect for me, and the frets feel great when doing vibrato.

EBMM Axis for neck shape
Ibanez JS-1000 WH for ease of effortless fretting of notes
Easiest acoustic to play is a Takamine EAN40C my buddy has.

Favorite tonally is my 2002 LP standard.

Everything right guitars?
Let’s see my Tyler’s, especially my SE from 2006 and the Japanese one.
Just as amazing an original Charvel from the early 80s, the days of Strat headstocks and best neck carve ever.

Also every one of my Vigiers, Baker B3 and Marchione.

Runner up…best ergonomics for playing sitting down…Strandberg.

Oh, you too have a Marchione? 🔥

I thought only @braintheory had those on the forum 👍🏻

Seafoam green Jeff Beck strat. I really should have kept that guitar and modded it to work for me because it played itself. The guy I sold it to sent me a message a week later and thanked me for selling it to him. Said that it was the most inspiring guitar that he has ever played. Yeah. I suck.

Always wanted to try one of those

Some people love the necks, some people don't. It's a little slimmer feeling than a Strat neck. The frets on both my Blades have a very smooth feel, so if you do any vibrato, there's no unevenness. But what I also like is that the Strat copy I have (R4) has a built in pre-amp boost. It's essentially very similar to having an overdrive pedal built into your guitar. With this guitar, I don't need an overdrive pedal because it has lots of added gain. You can also bypass it if you don't want it.

Ibanez Axstar (HH model in Ferrari red) I got for my 13th birthday, it was the second electric I ever owned. I used to spend my afternoons after school at Rockin' Robin waiting for my mom to get off work at the hair salon she worked at nearby and fell in love with those Axstars - I'd sit and play through a Rockman they had up on the counter for people to do just that. Great times and that store was magical to me as a kid.

Not sure if it is just nostalgia but I loved that guitar and kick myself to this day for ever selling it.

@Jdub ’s PRS might have been the nicest guitar I've ever seen or played from an overall checks all the boxes standpoint.

The most magic guitar I’ve ever played was a Les Paul that I thought was a Historic Makeover only to be told 10 minutes in it was an actual real deal 59’ Burst. In that moment I got it completely and couldn’t get it out of my hands fast enough, actually made me uncomfortable.
