Best lunchbox amp

I need a small amp to use for gigs where the party afterwards is in focus.

I play hardcore metal but usually use a 2203.

Minimum of 25-30 watt and light weight!

Suggestions?
 
My opinion is going to be that you can't go wrong with the EVH 5150 III LBX

While maybe not so mini the EVH lll 50 watt is really affordable and I know this will sound crazy but to my ears it sounded much much better than the Soldano Hot Rod 25 and cost much less
 
I agree with the Soldano Hot Rod 25. That amp is a beast .
 
Mark V: 25/35, or the H&K Grandmiester. 15 watts would be plenty for jamming with a band, IMO. The 5150 III lunchbox is plenty loud.

Dave Young has been using the H&K live w/ The Devin Townsend Project on their current tour, and his tone is fantastic. Here's a video with a bit of him playing. Keep watching, he goes through his rig a bit too.

Why does nobody here like the mini recto? I havent played any other lunchbox amps so I cant say its better but I cant imagine anything sounding as good as it. Its amazing. Oh and dont buy the h&k grandmeister. It has a really weird hifi like distortion that in my opinion doesnt sound very good.
 
Mesa Minis are badass. The Bogner Atma and Pink Taco are great. +1 on the Tube Meister 36. The Helios 50 isn't a lunchbox amp, buy relatively small and very portable, but 50w that sounds good at any volume. Ceriatone makes a great lunchbox head. Blackstar's HT 20 is seriously good for the bucks. Engl makes the Iron all, Rock master, and Metalmaster - all badass.
 
New mini Jubilee head. 1299, loop and 2 EL34s. Rated at 20w but I read they actually put out more like 26w....
