Best lunchbox amp

New mini Jubilee head. 1299, loop and 2 EL34s. Rated at 20w but I read they actually put out more like 26w....

Yeah they're badass amps, and Marshall loud too. I sold my 100w 2555x with the intention of picking up a mini, but I haven't seen used ones popping up yet.

Why does nobody here like the mini recto? I havent played any other lunchbox amps so I cant say its better but I cant imagine anything sounding as good as it. Its amazing. Oh and dont buy the h&k grandmeister. It has a really weird hifi like distortion that in my opinion doesnt sound very good.

I tried a rectoverb combo 25'recently
Nice amp not sure what they
Did but it did not have the flub I associate
With Recto it was brighter and tighter
Even in modern almost sound like a 50 watt Recto with 34s
But man that sucker is loud
I can't figure how they got that sound in that small a box lol

The Mark V25 is also a good idea but here in europe the prices on mesas are very high. The V25 is 2000 dollars

The regular V is 3500 dollars

I have actually had the V25 before, cool amp. But it failed on me and I sent it back

Wow there must have been something wrong with it or what you where playing with cause my on mini rec was really thick and juicy.

I am not hearing thin maybe it was cab or guitar ,too me it does what rectos do and bit brighter yes but it sounds like the 50 i used to play except with better cleans/pushed and one of the best verbs i have heard
