Quite off topic, but in the Year And A Half of vid, at one point Hetfield is leaning against a pool table playing a riff and I heard it one other time in my life, it’s driven me nuts for years what song the riff was from and I just fucking found it.

Although I voted Master, I love the classic Marshall tone of RTL, one of my favorites. However, I think they set themselves apart tone wise by switching to boogie on MOP. Made the band and that album stand out even more on top of the songwriting.
 
Were they also using mesa 2c+ just before MOP on the og garage days ep?
