There are others that do a great job as well. This is VERY subjective dude. Good for you, his mod is your favorite.
However, there must be some dogs out there. I played a 1980 JMP 2204 GZ that didn't sound very good to me, and others at our little amp fest. It wasn't bad sounding, plenty of gain and was tight.
But, it was very sterile and flat sounding. Must've been a bad donor amp I guess.
Nick K(dawnofdreamx97) does one mean ass Aldrich mod; I've had 4 over the years and they slay. I'd put him at the top of the list. Shea also.
