Best way to dial in ultra scooped metal tone on Herbert

It sounds to me like you need to spend some time with the Herbert. There is a plethora of tones in that amp and they can be had very easily. We have asked you what specific tones you are trying to get and we have offered advice on other tones you asked for....this leads me to believe you have not really went through the amp on your own to learn it. Take a couple weeks and mess with it, you will be pleasantly surprised I assure you. Open up that power section after doing so and then get back to us :thumbsup:

to understand an amp you need to user it EXCLUSIVELY for a few weeks, until your ears get used to the tonal characteritics of the amp. IF you play the herbert for 15 min, and then go back to the trusty old Engl, or whatever it is......you ear will NEVER get acustomed.
 
That's why I hate using multifx pedalboard, one time you play a good amp you feel there is less distortion...
This happen with my digitech gnx1, it has good distortion tone... But are fake...
And not achievable with a tube amp.
