Thanks to everyone for your honest feedback in this thread. I was seriously considering sending Sims a few projects, fucken a.

Sadly, you can also add me to the list of people Sims has lied to :(

Same story as everybody else. I wish i had done the due diligence of searching the web prior to sending this dude any cash
Be sure to register a strong complaint with the BBB. I know the organization sucks, but he seems to respond to threats to his public reputation on that platform. Anything you can do to incentivize him, in ways like that, do it.

It's not really an organization, it's just Patrick. He's a 1 man show. I don't think he's had an employee in years.

If they are in the United States, contact the state Attorney General Office of his state.

Nicholas guitars does them

That guy trashed my 93 PRS CU24. I gave no pressure, no relentless messaging, I just let him do his thing. The guitar is refinished so poorly that I haven't touched it in months. Don't send that guy shit, he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. Complete amateur hour.

I'm contemplating sending my guitar to MJT for them to completely refinish it. I didn't want to ship the guitar since it means a lot to me. It passed down from an uncle who passed away. That's why I went the local route.

He also got really weird with a buddy of mine, but that's not my story to share.

By organization I meant the BBB. Though, agreed, Sims sucks more! Much more.

Gee, let me guess... YOU reached out with all communication/text, correct?

I'll tell you now, if you put that wonderfully detailed account of your experience in a google review with anything less than 5 stars, you'll get back a HUGE response about how rude you are, how he was in constant communication with you (implying that he reached out every time), about how busy he is, you don't understand how good he is, how many guitars he's painted while he had yours, etc, etc, etc ad nauseam... not once acknowledging that he was at fault on ANY level.

Frankly, I'm shocked he actually said, "sorry" in one of his text responses.

If you are feeling the slightest bit petty but want to share an honest review and get a good read out of his response, a google review might help others who have been in your shoes...

I'm sorry you had to put up with that.
