Hey fellas, never had this happen with my Herbert's or my Uberschall etc... whenever I bias my VH-4, it always gives a negative reading on my DMM... the reading still ascends as it would normally, and the bias trimmer is usually in the right spot, and it doesn't matter what side of the transformers I hook up to, I just always get a negative reading... is this normal? Just curious, thanks fellas!

pots facing you, the bias trimmer is on the left. on the right is the hum trimmer - do you use the correct trimmer?

how do you bias? adaptor? multimeter on the prim. of the OT?
correct setting of the multimeter to current (mA) DC?

to me it sounds like you're reading volts . . . which are negative (at the trimmer)

btw - I have my VH4 at home, if you want I can record a vid "how to bias your VH4" a bit later today . . .

Take care!!

We're all fine here, Raul, thanks for asking. I'm pretty busy jobwise at the moment . . .

I already unmounted the amp from the headshell, just waiting for my daughter (she's on my laptop) to finish her "girly online session", will record a "how to" in a minute . . .

Well I mean... I've had several VH-4's... and it always BIases this way... I am using the correct trimmer... the one on the left, and when I turn the trimmer the reading goes up as it should, there is just always a "-" sign next to the number when I do it with my VH-4... I suppose a video couldn't hurt, that would be cool. I was more curious of someone had run into this problem themselves... I'm using the regular $34.00 DMM that you get from Lowes or Home Depot and such... ::shrugs:: thanks for the reply!
