Red Label speaking of Kenny Goorabian of Steele Breeze, Im playing at Camp Pendleton with him this weekend. Last night they asked me if I could do it and play acoustic for them. Kenny Goorabian, Eric Turner, Richard Lingeneberg (the giy whos the secret Atomica schematic) and me and not sure who is drumming yet. Prob the gyu from Smalltime. They say Camp Pendleton is really appreciative of bands coming in and they pack a huge crown. Im stoked.

Does anyone remember a video of a band that had a black Barracuda/Challenger driving through the desert? Late 80s I think. I remember liking the song but have no idea who the band was.

white zombie?

hey Steele Breeze. I play in on a worship team at Calvary Chapel Pacific Coast in Westminster CA with him every once in a while. Kenny Goorabian the guitar player.
I hope this isn't a stoopid question, but what's a 'worship team'?? Sounds kinda spooky, what is it?

some good vids in here, didn't know killer dwarfs , or saraya

side question, what amps they using in the saraya vid?

keep em coming, always nice to discover stuff

Oh yeah... the Dwarfs are a Canadian band that had a big "underground" following. Still got the LP with "Keep the Spirit Alive" on it. And always been into Saraya since then as well. Her pipes (Sandi Saraya) are some of my favorite metal chick pipes of all time. VERY powerful. Check some of her other stuff out.

No idea what amps they used. Most everything was just Marshalls (modded or not) and TubeScreamers back in those days.

"Church band". Pretty common and prevailent these days. Several guys that I used to know on the metal circuit back in the early 90s now play worship music.

Nice man! Hope your gig goes well. Shoot me an after report and tell Kenny that an old admirer of his work from the 80s says "hi". They may have been a "flash in the pan" MTV type band, but me and my bro (drummer) sure dug their stuff.

yeah the word "worship" has been wrecked and associated with other things. A few 80's guys are now playing in church bands. Mike Black from "Targa" is at my church as well. Targa was an L.A. band and was usually associated with Leather Wolf aka Hail Mary.

I had never listened to Bronz before but I had heard of them. The Vocalist, MAx Bacon is one of my all time faves; Talk about an amazing Voice!!!! I first got turned on to him when he was in GTR and was absolutely blown away. I have a bunch of his other stuff as well and it isnt half bad. Bronz however is really on the gay side of things!!!

I liked Saraya and Tony Bruno is a beast of a player...

I always thought Britny Fox was kinda ridiculous with the whole Cinderella Gay Aristocrat/Pirate motif but I will admit to loving Long way to Love, I always found that tune to be hauningly catchy..

As for the rest, I had forgotten about them!!!!

Cool Stuff Johnny!!!

Cool. I glanced at the ones posted above but didn't even notice it. Thanks. I haven't heard that song in 20 years. Still rocks. Guitar tone sounds killer too.

Fo sho! Loved GTR as well. Have the LP and CD. I remember when they had that big documentary that MTV was airing on the making of the GTR album. LOVE Hackett's work on there. Sure haven't heard anything from him in an eternity.

Same here on Britney Fox, the band was a cheap imitation of Cinderella, but Long Way To Love got stuck in my head and has never left it. I was playing that song in the bars right after it came out, and wouldn't mind doing it now if I could find a vocalist who could do it well.

Always been my favorite Waite song, although some of the stuff he did with Bad English was pretty cool too.

No problem Jerry. I work in IT (network admin). So I try to be a bit more secure than your average user in my passwords. But hey... I'm sure some hacker kid could school me good on security.

I'm a pretty small fish... so please Mr. Hacker Kid... don't waste your valuable time with the likes of me.
