Happy Birthday

I well say the same thing everyone else has said to me ..... don't you think you have enough amps ?

I have owned most of those preamp. Nice collection.

Thanks!

I have so many amps its seams to have given Dave Friedman a headache he really needs to think about how he is going to setup my rack system. When he asked me how I wanted it set up I said "I have no clue."

Just kidding I gave him a few of my ideas but told him I am open to suggestions so he wanted me to give him a call back later next week. I cant wait till its done.

5. If I get another Diezel should I get another Silver VH4 or should I get the VH4S?

What up Jason?

I use a modded Vh4 for recording at home and the VH4S for gigging. IMHO.....the VH4S is great for a pne guitar player band (meaning perfect for my situation). As if you have two cabs spread out across the stage....and are using delay or chorus.....FX Blend....or even just the amps distortion.....it just sounds huge. I like how...say for one side you can tweak the presence, Deep etc different than the other side. IMO just sounds huge.

Just one of the cabs. I dont have a SUV so when I gig now, I just bring one cab and turn one side off. When My lease is up, I am for sure gonna get an SUV. ;)

Hey man, I think 7. Kinda hard to see in from the front :) Not sure on the VH4S as I keep it at my vocalist house as he has an SUV so when we gig he brings one of my Diezel 4x12's and the VH4S

I will have pics up shortly just as soon as I swap batteries on my camera...

It arrived today and its a VH4 970054. The seller included new Mesa 6L6 STR440 tubes with it.

Here are a few questions I have.

1. What type of tubes did these Blueface amps orignally come with in 97?

2. Since I am a fanboy what tubes does Adam Jones have in his Blueface.

3. What is the difference between Blueface and the Silverface? I heard the Blueface has a few more preamp tubes.

4. Looks like I am missing a few screws from the back panel can I get replacement screws from Diezel so I have the correct looking ones? Looks like another small rubber piece is missing let me double check after I upload pics...

5. If I get another Diezel should I get another Silver VH4 or should I get the VH4S? The reason I ask is if I get another VH4 and run them at the same time with my blueface then I would not need the VH4S model correct? I am not to famliar with what VH4S does over the VH4 since I am amp ignorant always was a guitar whore.

Fantastic! I have a Blueface, just one serial number off from yours.

Without being too specific, I was told by somebody who sold amps directly to AJ that he uses Ruby 6L6's in the VH4. Out of all the tubes I've tried those have come the closest to my ears to what his VH4 seems to be doing for his tone.

The Blueface has an extra preamp tube. If anyone has a tube layout for the Blueface I'd be interested.

I have 2 empty VH4 head shells, one of which was the original for my amp, the other one is meant for a Silverface and has slightly different dimensions. If you're missing some parts PM me and I may be able to salvage something for you.

On that note, if anyone needs a Silverface head shell PM me. It's in great condition, but is slightly tall for the Blueface.
