I spent $500 on shipping (split it 50/50) for my metroplex UPS ground fully insured from AZ to MD. When you consider the year (boutique tax), the footswitch, the aftermarket metal grill, and shipping is included, it’s where the market is right now.

GLWS OP. I love my 98.

That is insanely high for shipping, damn!!!

That sounds like someone seriously over changed you on shipping. I just shipped a VHT 2150 power amp, three weeks ago, 57 lbs from Florida to Arizona with $3000 of shipping insurance and a signature, UPS ground was $194. Boxed up myself. Shipped at UPS, not a UPS store.

No, I’m not hijacking the dudes thread.

UPS label made on his end and dropped off was still 486. 60lbs and $4k insured. This was also last year - rates are fluctuating. It was also 3 day ground to minimize time on trucks to mitigate damage.

OP is not far off. I have the receipt saved off somewhere and can prove it. Get quotes before you ship anything heavy and expensive. The original owner thought it would be $150 max and was shocked at the price but I was not.

How much extra was three day shipping?
