The Goldfinger 45-SL has been on my list for years. Finally, I have one coming my way by end of next week.

For those of you with experience, what cab and speakers bring out the best in this amp?

I enjoy mine equally through a Bogner OS212 with a V30/Creamback mix, and a 2x12 with Scumback M75’s. Congrats on the amp, it does everything I’ve wanted in an amp and it sounds absolutely amazing clean or dirty. It’s my favorite amp I’ve ever owned.

Those are really cool amps. I wish I could get Reinhold to do one with a 100 watt power section of EL34s. Besides the Helios, the GF is the closest Bogner to those classic Marshall sounds.

V30s, Greenbacks, H’s all work well just depends on your taste

I played a 45 when they first came out and really liked it. Short list for sure

I use mine with an x pattern of 75s and green backs and also a bogner cel 80, its sounds great with both. Doesn't seem all that picky. One thing is the amp is plenty loud but the taper is such that you have it up really high before it gets there. Its a great amp

only played the std 45 and really liked it, but the SL is supposed to be even better

Had a standard 45 thru GB's and it was a nice combo, kinda wish I went the SL route instead. Congrats and enjoy!

I was close to snagging one of these but Sweetwater had a demo SS100 V2 I just couldn't pass up, still might eventually try the GF SL, demos sound killer.

Definitely an amp I would like to try. Dig the clips I’ve heard.

It arrived Thursday however without the footswitch, but GC took care of me really well. The GC were I purchased it from packaged this amp very professionally. Bubble wrapped every tube and numbered each tube and its corresponding tube socket. The tubes were shipped in another box. GC went above and beyond my expectations.

Now for the amp. Pristine used condition. The clean channel is to die for. So many usable beautiful tones in here with the depth and bright switches plus the option of the boost. No need for any overdrive pedals.

The drive channel is like having 3 types of Marshalls. Each one sounds great depending on what style you are after. The boost on this channel can take you to more places.

I haven't gotten around to using the loop yet. I hope it doesn't disappoint me like the loop in the Helios (where that was a tone sucker).

So far the GF45SL, likes my Marshall Jubilee 4x12 with V30s and my Marshall JCM800 4x12 with G12-65s. I have an EVH 4x12 with the Heritage greenbacks, but a little on the darker side of things with the GF. I'm thinking of picking up the matching open back 2x12.

This amp is a sleeper. It deserves more attention.

Tried one at a friends a few months back...mighta been cuz I was stoned, but it was incredibly responsive and organic. I was really enjoying the bloom in the notes...sounded fantastic

Congrats, sounds like a winner. I’ve come close to buying one about a half dozen times, really must pull the trigger.
