Bogner red into el34 shiva

I used to have an Ecstasy and really missed the Plexi mode in channels 2 & 3. When these pedals came out I was eager to see if I could get that sound, especially for use with single coils. So, I'm using the Blue pedal in Plexi mode into either a Shiva 20th Anniversary or Duende and it fills the gap between the clean channel and gain channels it sounds great.

The only issue I have is I run the excursion pretty high on the Shiva and when using the Blue pedal in 101b or 20th anniversary mode, it's too bassy and flubby. So, it seems to sound best in the 100 mode.

I would be interested to run one into a Recto Verb clean channel just to get the Bogner distortion, not so much boost the recto distortion. But if that sounds good, of course that is great.

Any Rec clean channel users?

Wow, I had a chance to play the XTC Red and Blue pedals through a Marshall Vintage Modern and it rocked!!!!!!
As good as any amp. I am looking to grab these pedals. No need for high gain multi channel amps. Just need these pedals!

I borrowed a friend's Bogner XTC Red pedal and into my Shiva's clean channel, it sounds great!!!! I can now take my Shiva to a gig, get my cleans, great light to high gain Shiva tones and then the brutal high gain XTC tones with the pedal. NICE!!!!!

I am set!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Reinhold himself would
Ever take the analog pedal guts as front
End and couple it to a 6v6 25 30 watt power section

That would be intresting single channel small
Head with pedal front end and tube power

I think my 20th Anniversary Shiva with EL34s is the best amp I have ever played or owned.

The XTC Red pedal is the ultimate compliment. I am not a modern metal guy, so I don't need a real XTC, plus I think my 20th Shiva sounds better than a 101b or an XTC.

However, having the Red pedal adds nice variety and sounds very close to the real deal.

Nice thing about running the XTC Red through the 20th Shiva red is that is like having a Shiva and XTC in one amp.
I borrowed a friend's pedal but I plan to buy one.

This Red pedal is incredible. My 20th Shiva's clean channel takes pedal as well as any amp I have owned.
My J&J OD, Xotic BB and Bogner Red sound like killer amps into my clean. Very impressive.
The clean on my Shiva is like having the best Fender ever.
However, I can't see wasting the money on one when all my amps do heavy well.

Ran the Red into the Bogner New Yorker and for me the Shiva is gone.

After a pretty decent time comparison I liked the pedal into a clean amp better than the Shiva's drive. More open and more gain on tap in the Red Pedal, going into any clean amp, but the New Yorker works really well with it.

I am sure the Barcelona would be even better if one needed a bit more headroom, but the New Yorker for 12 watts will really surprise many and fill up a small club with ease, or keep up with a heavy hitting drummer.

Little gems Reinholdt is putting out these days.

Honestly, I find my 20th Shiva to be the best amp for me, that I have played or owned in 30 years. The clean is as good or better than any Fender I have owned or played. It is my favorite clean for using pedals. I have played a ton of amps and this Bogner takes pedals better than any I have played, including the Mesa Boogie Electra Dyne that I had briefly. Just my personal experience.
