I wish you well in finding/fixing the issue
I have two of these and hope this issue is something I won’t have to deal with in the future

At least you have a backup :D All kidding aside, I'm sure it won't happen to you. Once I get to the bottom of this, I'll be sure to post the solution / fix so at least it might be helpful for someone else.

Surely if Ireland is a bust there would be a few good techs in England. I wouldn’t ship to L.A. A U.K. bogner distributor may be a good source for who can do work. Or maybe one or two of the amp makers in England, Matamp, Victory or Blackstar etc. can direct you to quality techs.

……sorry, didn’t mean to call you Shirley there. ?

Check to see if all power tubes are hot when this happens. Had a similar issue where the pins on the power tube socket were loose. Seems some tubes have fatter pins that stretch the sockets, then if you go to a tube with narrower pins they are too loose and lose connetion. My amp would lose it's balls randomly. I found that one of the power tubes would be cooler to the touch than the rest. If I moved it just right it would come back. Easy fix to retension them. Worth taking a look at.

Good suggestion...there is only one Bogner dealer in the UK...Guitar Guitar...I know a few guys over there from buying gear over the years (before Brexit). However, shipping to the UK, even though closer than the US would still be nearly as much hassle...post Brexit has complicated things with customs etc. I have had other things that I needed to get fixed...a mechanical watch and sent it to the UK...declared customs, I've owned the things for over 10 years and the f*ckers still made me pay customs (on the items market value) to get them back when they were returned. To say the least that scares the sh*t out of me and simultaneously pisses me off - sour taste from before.

No problem calling me Shirley ;)

Good call on re-tensioning the power tube sockets - thank you. I'll add this to my 'fix' list.

I don’t know if you’re too far but maybe you can find a tech who’s more towards your side of the country in U.K. And you could make it a holiday. I take it you have Ferry’s that take cars? Make a weekend of it. Brush up on Welsh town names…lol

FIX FOUND. I just wanted to update this in case anyone else runs into the same issue. I finally found a great guy to fix it.

The issue was the solder joint on the presence capacitor/resistor was never good. I'm not sure why, but that was the issue.

Hopefully this helps anyone else that encounters a similar issue

Funny that M. Cameron used to work for Bogner.
What are the chances ?
Glad you got the fix !

Haha yes, the infamous unordered, but delivered 'cameron mod' haha. So thrilled to have this sucker back up and running. Karl (my neighbor) better cover Bonny's (his little white dog) ears for safety
