It seems Dean is back in the "Z"/Explorer business. What a circus this company has become, but we'll take entertainment any way we can I guess. Your move Gibson...

These have been out for a year. Basically a Mustaine model, different name..
 
Stop marketing it as a guitar and sell it as a really nice designer coffee table.
 
Evan Rubinson will be wearing that soon enough. Dean is damn near done.
 
who actually seeks out buying a dean with all the other options out there? if it wasn't for dimebag darrell, that company wouldn't have existed past the 90's. we've seen what an inept jackasses and thief the c.e.o is. Why not start from scratch, rebrand, and come out with something new and original that doesn't look like a bad bootleg version of a classic design?

I've always kinda felt like they were a pawnshop brand and never tried one. Played one recently (at a pawnshop) and was surprised. I like the Michael amott sig v and the dimebag stuff finally started looking appealing to me. Don't think you can get either now.

I just don't see them lasting much longer like Randall.
 
Dean is like the meth head trailer park neighbor that pisses out their bedroom window onto their neighbor’s garden while getting most of the piss in their own trailer. What’s this going to do except get either company to spend money on lawyers? Get a bunch of 55-year old Dean fans to say “Huhhuh yeah fuck you Gibson getter done!“?
 
Agreed with the sentiments here. Dean to me is a brand I could just never spend money on. Like I’d rather have an LTD or Epiphone, and I’d never buy either of those either.
 
I have two ML's, one USA made, and the other is Korean.

They're quality instruments, but Dean cheaps out on the hardware.
 
my old guitar player years ago had a black dean V with an invader in it, i actually used it at gigs i liked it so much :dunno: i always kind of wanted a Cadillac

He always seemed like your typical pawn shop dirtbag. You know, a shitbag behind the counter that offers you $140 for your Les Paul and then sells it for $1500. Kind of like Guitar Center. I've never been in a pawn shop. I'd get arrested for A+B

Dean is like some other brands, BC Rich...they used to make kickass guitars and there are amazing guitars out there. But what once was is longer.
