That is so cool that you got to play the 59!!! That's a sick and amazing rig.

Yeah man...I now completely get the vintage thing after playing that one. Very special guitar. Tak also showed me a Dave Johnson refinished Les Paul of Richie's that was in the ballpark with the 59. I'm going to try and pick one of those up soon...

Careful...once you go vintage it's real hard to go back. I own 9 pre 1968 guitars, so I speak from experience. You have been warned! ;)

Hahahahaha KMD! My buddy was on tour with them during that time and he told me there were Marshalls under the stage. He's not the only artist to do it.

What do those KMD sound like I wonder.. Laney pro tube/ AOR type of thing I'm sure..

Don't know about the amps but I had one the 4x12's for a few years. Sounded pretty much the same as my JCM900 1960B to me.

A lot of guys would use those KMDs or whatever 'endorsement' brand amp as their dressing room warm up amp. . .that way they aren't technically lying about it. :D

I recall his KMD endorsement well as my friend was a dealer for them back then. He used just one live and it was only as a monitor for himself...everything that went to FOH was Marshall.

Fairly low stage volume with those amp settings. Is he sending one the BE's to an ISO cab or DI'd?

Funny I just got a thing from Musicians Friend and he was on the cover. Said he used an iso box and ran everything through a full range monitor system with in ears that are open air so he can hear both.

I saw where the one BE head read "on stage". If it is in 100wt mode that MV is loud enough to drive things and be heard. What did the other two toggle switches with labels to the side read? BE status check... do you still own yours?

Wonder if Friedman and Mark had to go repo Richie's new BE100 rigs?

Fantastic pic's Todd  I used a Radial JDX Active DI with my BE-100 last Saturday for the first time. Less stage volume and more in front of me thru the monitors. The Bogner 4x12 (V30's/H30's) was behind me. It was very cool and consistent with the volume. The sound guy loved it..he was alittle skeptical at first. Very positive results.

If Phil X jumps in..maybe the rig could stay as a sign on bonus   I don't think Phil would mind that at all ;)

Hi!

Cool pictures - thanks!

But how have you been able to hold or even play some of his guitars including his original 59? Seems a bit strange (in an extremely positive way) to me.

Did you also have some pictures of the pedals in the back of the shelves (or do you remember them), of the pedalboard, MIDI controler and more guitars? Doesn't he have some Blackstars back there as well? And any idea if that's a Digitech Brian May and a Keeley or stock SD1?

Wow - that's a lot of questions... Sorry! ;-)
