Bonamassa's "Secret" MXR pedal? What was it?

Remember a few months back, we saw pics of JB's new pedalboard, and there was a covered up pedal that looked like it might be a MXR version of the BK Butler Tube Driver? What did that pedal turn out to be? I'd love a Tube Driver style pedal in a small MXR footprint. Did they ever release it?

I don't think they have/will as of yet (someone tell me I'm wrong).

I have mixed feelings as I miss my old TD but I don't know if the MXR version will hold a candle to it. Then again, it could be a nostalgic view on my end if I ever do get to try/own the MXR one.

Talent pedal. Hard to come by, usually a one-off. Expensive as hell.

I thought it was an FET circuit of some kind, not tube. I may be mistaken though.

I've been eyeballin' one of those Fender Super Sonic 22 combos, and thought that a little Tube Driver type pedal, a fuzz, and a delay would make for a killer little Eric Johnson-esque kinda rig.

It is. It's a JB fet driver sig pedal in the works.

Cab only be purchased from Satan at the crossroads. Price is your soul.

It is a Fet Driver. According to Joe, it's a one-off built just for him and it will not make it into production. Unless I'm mistaken, it's a Tube Driver in a small shell. Definitely a neat toy.

For the risk of being too cliche, try this http://cusackmusic.com/shop/screamer-fuzz/ or http://cusackmusic.com/shop/screamer/. I cannot remember, but I believe it was the former one that I tried on one of my trips last summer that will get close to that EJ tone. There was a guy vacationing from Australia that I bumped into at Truetone Music (guys are great to work with there and have quite the collection of pedals, guitars, and amps) who stated it was "EJ in a box". I decided to give it a try while I was there.I played it through a Bogner Shiva combo they had there. I usually do not find most players that I just run into to have that good of hearing but in this case I thought his point was made and it seemed to come pretty close. Sidenote: he had his girlfriend there with him and a large box that he was filling up with pedals he was purchasing to bring back to his homeland as he stated they could not get a lot of them there. The box was full too. Must have been quite a bill!

The Tube Driver sim in the Line 6 units (PODHD, M series and Distortion modeler is superb! For reals, sounds damn close to real thing. If you close your eyes and go for it, you'd swear you were playing a real TD. (get your mind out of the gutter Dan;)

This guy demonstrates the vibe of it pretty well. First one in the vid.

FWIW, the Chandler TD does not sound close to the Butler TD. They are EQ'd differently.
