Looks like it's offset and tap division.

I've used the SDE-3000D since it came out last year and this has me seriously considering downsizing. With MIDI tempo and the eighth note function I could easily set my favorite EVH-style stereo delay times remotely, and the kill dry would integrate it just as easily into my parallel effects loop.

I was recently looking at dual delays with modulation and analog dry through, and there are surprisingly few of them.

The SDE-3000EVH does just that.

Yes the larger unit has the EVH presets however I would like to have the EVH tones in a smaller format

The board in the SDE-3000EVH is pretty substantial. I doubt they were able to cram all that into the smaller form factor without lowering the quality of the DSP considerably.
