It's real. I remember seeing that white Marshall with the sticker that bled through on the front right...

Is it a HG like the lister says it is?

No it's a LG Jose, check my post above

Cool  If they are such a good seller they would take down HG immediately if it isn't.

I didn't like my LG setting but then again I don't even know if I was on that or the HG it just had the most gain is all I know.

It's kind of confusing because there are HG Jose mods with a switchable Low Gain setting/input... And then there are the actual LG Jose mods. The LG Jose is not the same as the Low Gain setting on the HG Jose mods. Both are different mods.

That could explain why I did not like the LG at all. Makes me curious if I would like the LG by itself. How gainy do they get on there own? Any rock/metal band examples?

Ah, didn't know that. I guess I like the LG setting on a HG/LG best. Sounded way more organic.

I also prefer the LG setting on the HG Jose mod compared to the real LG Jose Mod.

Years ago, I had a 2 channel Cameron Jose where the channel on the front panel was the HG Jose and the other channel on the back of the amp was the LG Jose.
I never bonded with that amp, so didn't keep it for long, but the difference in tone between the two channels was pretty big.. it wasn't like they were the same but with different gain levels. The LG Jose channel was like a souped up Plexi with a little more Gain on tap. The HG was gainier, but also much more aggressive in the mids, tighter/sharper sounding etc.

I dont know if calling it a LG Jose would be approriate either since the thing sounded like it had a ton of gain to me.

I had a switch on the back of mine that made it sharper and buzzier. I thought that was a bright switch maybe it was the HG mod. Now I don't know. I always assumed I liked the HG setting the best it was very brown ( much richer) a lot more than what I thought was the LG setting.

yep,the LG jose mode on your old cameron jmp was DEF better sounding than the HG mode.really strange as i've never seen that before,Paul  apparently you had a one-off model and it sounded killer! ;)

The price went up on starting bid, I was interested at the $1999 price though.

yeah i saw that change last nite...how about the negative comment that the seller has added right under his last pic that's about us rig-talk boys?

here's his comment:

"ALL YOU RIG TALK PEOPLE NEED TO GET A LIFE....."

nice, huh? wonder who pissed him off???

Yea maybe it was me that pissed him off by posting this thread and being a wise ass, but i don't really give a rats ass. :D I was trying to prove a point of how Mark has been back dooring amps while guys like me are still waiting for years and fed the same line of crap... Let the auction holder change places with me or some of the other guys waiting, then tell me to get a life.

And what makes that amp worth $2499 buy it now ? a 50 watt mod with no loop or really any features? come on seriously, the amp probably has about $25 dollars of parts in it, I'm not saying it doesn't sound good, im sure it does! but if that amp is worth $2500 then i can only imagine would i should ask for my Cameron 100 watt ground up 1959 plexi ALDRICH with 2 channel footswitchable mod, fx loop, bass boost, rotary switch, push pulls on bass and mid control, 3 way zener clipping switch, gain style control, fx send leve control, 2 masters 2 preamp gain controls, and more!... get my point??

but whatever its a free country he can ask whatever he wants for the amp, and it isn't my business, and i never meant to interfere with his auction or him, this isn't about the auction or amp or the seller at all, it's about shedding some light on all the amps getting back doored.

understood,dawnofdreamx97...along with what you posted in that other HUGE post on a different thread,i cant imagine putting up with all that for all this time  ...feel for ya,mang!!!!!!!!! :)

hugs n kisses sent!!!!!!!!

He also took down the picture of the pot on the back of the amp. Someone better snap it up. There are no more amps actually being made by Mark.

officially speaking ;)

I remember seeing that same amp in a thread about a yr ago on here. Supposedly it was a special order from Marshall with the metal panel 70's spec and no loop in white, then modded mark.

Im sure he didnt have it modded. I know him he just buys and sells tons of gear and prob got it in a trade or something. He's a good guy.
