Yeah, most likely I'm going for a Herby... The next few days I'm going to music stores and try out all of them and see which is the most suitable, although from the samples and from youtube I feel that the Herby is the one for me...
However I'm going to try some other stuff too... Anyway, until my vetta and my strat are sold, I can't buy anything so I'll have to wait a bit :( :( (hope not too much)

I sure will!
As soon as the vetta and the strat go, I'm going for my new baby!

Hi

I've tested Einstein 100W, Herbert and VH4 yesterday.
If yout want to have many different Sounds, go for the Einstein - it has more different Sounds.
But Channel 2 of the Herbert ist great for your Style - the best Channel I' ve ever tested.

Hi everybody...
I might have a chance to buy a used vh4s.
Any comments on the vh4s sound? Is it considerably different sounding than the vh4?
Anything I should look out for?
Thanks in advance for any help...
Btw, it was made in 2001 if that helps...

Hi everybody!
After spending a few years with my Vetta, I decided to let it go and buy (once again) a tube amp.
I used to have a couple of tube amps (Peavey Ultra 120, Marshall, Crate etc) before but in the end I sold 'em and bought a Vetta, with which I'm quite happy...
However, I still miss that tube tone... no matter how good the Vetta sounds it just doesn't have the same kind of "feel" , sustain, articulation and response that a full tube amp has.
So I decided to sell my vetta (and a fender strat SRV) and buy a tube amp.
Ok, so now I'm in a bit of a dilemma... I've found a used JCM800 Jubille Slasg sig amp head and a soldano hot rod 50 (no xl) head.
But what I really want to buy is a diezel amp. I might have to spend a lot more money for a vh4 or a herbert, or I can go for the einstein.
I play many different kinds of music but mostly I play blues (SRV=God), Hard rock and 80's metal (from Maiden,ACDC,Metallica,Priest to Whitesnake,G'n'R,Extreme,Skid Row, Gary Moore etc).
Which amp would you guys recommend?
I was thinking that with the money I'd have to spend to buy a vh4 or herbert, I could buy both the einstein and say the Slash sig Marshall. Or I can just go for a vh4... I like to be able to have a few sounds readily accessible and so I guess a 4 channel amp would be great for me, but on the other hand, an einstein with the switch mod for channel 1 is also a good solution. Keep in mind that most of the times I will be using the amp indoors (though I don't have a problem with high but reasonable volumes).
Btw, I will be using the amp (for now) with a Peavey 4x12" Shefield 75s cab.
So, what do you think? Will I get the sounds I'm searching for from an einstein? (I'm not into nu metal stuff but I DO LOVE the master of puppets era metal sound).
I mean I'd like to be able to dial tones from master of puppets to Gary Moore (2 of my favourite lead sounds are Gary Moore's and Slash's lead sound) to SRV!
I know I'm asking a lot, but... anyway, which one would you recommend?
Thanks for any help!

Didn't you just answer your OWN question with the last paragraph? Get a Marshall if that's what you're after bro. I suggest a plexi and have it modded by David Bray and you'll be set.

Now, if you really want a Diezel then get the Einstein. You have more than enough gain and to be honest who the hell needs any more gain than what this amp has. Dry into the amp I don't go past 2:00 on channel 2, MODE 2. I never use Mode 3..Mode 2 is the magic setting with the Einstein. I'm a guitar player so all I need is a dirty channel and a clean channel. If I was a weekend warrior or what I call an amp furniture collector then I'd go for 70 channel amps with 50 modes and knobs. It seems people judge amps these days by the number of channels and knobs..why does anyone need 3 channels? Anyway, get the Einstein if you want a Diezel but if you want to nail the tone you're after then re-read your own post and get what you're after..a Marshall.

Even if the Einstein does not give you the tone you're after..once you fire it up you're done for. You won't play anything else. I'm giving you HONEST advice..none of that ass kissing "oooh get the Diezel get the Diezel" when I know damn well that's not what you're after. I'm an honest person so you're getting honest advice because there's alot of money involved here even if I think the Einstein is the best amp ever made for me (and a modded Plexi too). Good luck.

Today I'm going to check some amps out...
In the list, there is also the JVM 410 head... I've heard some clips and I really liked it...
And with the price tag it has, I might be able to buy both the JVM and an Eini! We'll see...

Once you get the Einstein you won't buy anything else.

why does anyone need 3 channels?

Hi bro :D ,
Because some of us are not guitar players, we just like to switch channels. I enjoy all 3 channels on Herbert & both modes of the channel 2. Sue me!
