What are you guys using for cab mic mounting hardware? Instead of hanging my E906 off the edge with tape (it slowly drifts one way or another)

I was looking at the "amp clamp" but it seems you drill it into the cab or it free mounts to the bottom of the cab. Is the S series secure enough to mount to the sides?

Audix cab grabber, does it work well with E906 style mics?

Do both adapt to sm57 and E906 threads? I noticed the sm57 is larger and the seinheiser doesn't screw into standard mic stands. Also an issue is that the cab grabber will not fit 4 x 12 cabs?

the cab grabber sux imo...dosnt mount up right at all the mic is too far away and barley fits b cabs, the amp clamp is great no need to drill if you get the removable one, it also come with parts to drill if need be, and get the 609 mount with it and you are set..

Never owned one. Seen them on stage a bunch. Looks like the winner.

Thanks guys! looks like Z bar or amp clamp is the way to go. Right now I am using kick drum stands on a block. It works, but one of the other two solutions would be cleaner with less chance of my dog knocking something out of place when throwing his ball around in my studio space. (I guess he gets bored of hearing the same riffs over and over)

I use a cab grabber on a carvin legacy 2X12 and it works just fine...

I also have an avatar 2X12 with the tolexed panel above the speakers. I mounted a boom stand mounting plate directly to the front of the cab. I use a small boom to position the mic. Works great...

It can be used in every application. 4x12, 2x12, combo amp, etc.... It's super light weight and takes up hardly any space in storage or transport. It also only takes seconds to set up.

I use a cab grabber without problem. I did have to grab a short gooseneck for other mics but that was only a few bucks.

Thinking outside the box here.. putting a kick drum stand on a box works for my sm57, I'd like to get the 906 closer to the grill cloth, wouldn't a long gooseneck on a 10$ kick drum mic stand do the trick? It's an 8$ solution. If I am hardly ever moving it and recording at home, that should work well wouldn't it? Do goosenecks go limp after a while and start to sag?

The gooseneck I have has held stout for about two years now. I don't even know what brand it is. I walked into Guitar Center and walked out with some el-cheapo.

Ok well goose neck it is.. I found one cab grabber local to me in Canada but there was no adapter for seinheiser flat mics. I ordered the one they had for my 57 but I'll just go with a goose neck on my kick mic stand and call it a day for the 906. It'll get me close to the grill where I want to be. I'd be paying 40$ + shipping and customs all for a small clip. The hell with that.
