Cameron CCV clip

Can you please post a pre vs post production comparison? Most others who own both eras of CCVs either don’t even play guitar or do but flaunt them in videos without even turning them on.
Will do it as soon as I can.

Mark made them produce the CCV with an upside down PCB. So that it can’t be reverse engineered. I never had a desire to go in there and tear it apart. I guess his method was successful.
Can you explain me what does upside down PCB mean? I am not very knowledgeable sadly.

Thank you.
I still wanna get Protools again, whenever they are either free or really cheap for non pro use, get a little recording setup and register all the amp I'll have by then. And that would include, of course, both the pre and the production era CCVs, as well as all amps modded by Mark. Just for the sake of it.
But I'm not in a hurry at all to do that, since I don't even have how to record it.
For now, I'll just keep working and playing guitar every break I have.
Looking forward to it! Enjoy it for us all 🤘🏻

Well i am not RedPlated but i might be able to explain.

Here you can see all the components on the pcb. Now imagine they would sit on the other side of the pcb, basically between the metal chassis and the pcb. That way you cannot see which components there are and to flip it around you would have to detach all the cables which is quite some effort. Actually quite a nice way to increase the difficulty in copying the amp but of course pretty bad idea in case the amp needs a repair.

Only a dumbass would do that or someone with something to hide.

Thanks man. Better that goop at least 😂

Here's a novel concept : How bout just building an amp for which the builder is [paid for] with no Fucking Bullshit.

Will do it as soon as I can.
I wanna come down to Nashville and listen to this amp and that speaker cab you have for sale. When is the meet up in Nashville area? And where would we have it? Would be cool to have a little jam fest. Not sure what I could offer but maybe some cowboy chords through a Larry 😏

The Cameron Modded Marshall I played back in 2005 or so is still the best amp I've ever heard for high gain. I've heard the Ceriatone molecular is based on a Cameron but not sure.

Pretty sure the upside down PCB thing was bullshit used an excuse for why they weren't delivering amps towards the end when they couldn't find somebody to build them... I've never seen a gutshot of an "upside down" CCV and my understanding was they used the exact same PCB design as the prepro amps

Also comparing pre-Brad era CCVs to Brad era gets interesting as most of the pre-Brad amps were all slightly different based on what the person ordering wanted.

EDIT: Actually, @SBlue if you don't mind posting a gutshot once you get the amp it would put the whole thing to rest. Even if the upside down PCB thing is true I found it astounding that the people involved were unable to engineer a basic 2 channel amp PCB that only used 2 relays to the extent that it crashed the company.

Also there's really nothing magic about the design. it a 3/4 gain stage (counting cathode follower) Marshall-based Jose circuit with high power amp filtering values and Mark's well-known NFB circuit

Multi-color chicklet zip ties a MC original lol.
That boy aint right.

friedman should be making these and calling them something else, maybe change something slightly so he can say its not the same amp, but the same amp.. lol
I am sure if Friedman or @RedPlated thought the amp was that special, they would replicate it. I am sure that there are some owners that love it. But i could personally think of many amps I would want before one. If I ever tried one and heard anything better than the clips I have come accross maybe that would change.

Dan, you’re not right. You’ve never had any dog in the fight but always seem to act like you do. Find another hobby
I dont need to Fuck a chick to know she's Fugly.
Conversly i almost sent the dickhead my amp before Friedman.
As much Dog as anyone else.
2 internet themes that never go away :
MC makes the bast mApz & Help MC stole my amp.
The dude needs to be dealt with severely.
