I don't think personal issues are an excuse for poor business practices.
Is it ok for a doctor to make a mistake and injure a patient because they have a drug problem?
Would you not be upset when the mechanic who's shooting heroin ruins your transmission or doesn't return your car at all?
lame examples I know; but there is NO excuse for taking someones money/amp and returning no messages/phone calls etc... that is akin to theft whatever the "good excuse" may be.
how hard could he be working on his business issues if people still don't even get responses from him or an associate. one full day/week spent making phone calls could calm many customers I'm sure, at least make them feel like he even cares.
