Well, if you took six KT66s and subtracted 9 EL34s you get KT90(I'm not going to explain how you get this because the circuit analysis is over your head). But suffice it to say that it will equal a KT88 with a little extra distortion and maybe some ghost notes.

Sure, but you`ll need more EL84`s

EL34*EL84=EL2856

i.e, you`ll get 2856 watts out of the MKIV is you run it this way.
You`ll need another cab then.
