Man you guys have some nice stuff! And lots of it!!!

I got kicked out of my cave so the room could be used for something else, and my amps just got pushed against a wall. [/img]

But I retaliated by spreading into another room.

I love the old vertical input JCM800 combos! I have a friend with one and it's just an incredible amp. He is running NOS mullards and brimars in the pre and winged c's for power. They are great sounding combos. I love playing through his rig. I built him a few pedals out front that make it great, namely a slightly modded echoplex preamp circuit. Dead simple and it's a nice combination. I like his zendrive through it too as a mild boost.

April 15, 2018 my basement flooded. We had lived there for 18 years and never had a drop of water down there. It was my mancave and my guitar room!

I just finished the remodel a couple weeks ago! I'm a carpenter, by trade, so I was lucky to be able to do the trench system in the basement (which was some of the hardest work I have ever done!!!) and do the remodel myself without have to hire the work done.

We had to do that trenching in our basement as well in our prior home. Around the entire foundation right, then corrugated pipe that drains to a sump pump. I paid someone to do it. No way I was going to do it.

I see you are also a Motley Crue fan

That trench system was back breaking work!!!! They wanted $12,000 to do it.....I did it for $4000 (not counting the damage to my body!!!!)


My wife is a huge CRUE fan.....I took her to the Final tour, 8th row on the floor...we had a blast!!! Alice Cooper was incredible too!!!


KISS and ACE are my fav!!!! I'm going to see ACE in December....got VIP, backstage pass. I'm gonna have him sign my shoulder and get it tattooed in the next morning. I met Ace back in 92 in Detroit....he was super cool!!!


I look at my CD collection now and think to myself....I spent all this money on music CDs...and now their worthless....lol....but I love my music!!!!! Yeah...got some KISS 8 tracks...lol



Funny story on the Skid Row poster. Sabastian was doing "Jesus Christ Superstar" and was doing some shows in kalamazoo. He did an appearance at a local music store and I went to meet him.....he was so fucking awesome!!!! Hes like 6' 6"!!! He came in and he was high 5in everyone...yelling "WASSUUPP PEOPLE!!!" LOL I had him sign that poster...I was wearing one of my KISS shirts and loved that!!! He was super cool!!!

Actually she likes all the hair metal stuff. Not so much thrash, alt, grunge, metalcore, hardcore, etc etc.

Sebastian is such a crazy mother fucker. I bet that was a blast meeting him. Pretty sure it would have been the Bon Jovi tour I saw them live. I'd actually have to check that as a lot of those shows are blury

Even if you're not recording / mixing, a little room treatment can make the space a lot less fatiguing on the ears when crankin' the amps.

Yeah, the room sounded amazing, even just having a conversation while walking in the room sounded more clear. Even my wife was amazed. All I did was watch some YouTube "how-to" videos on making panels and for a couple hundred bucks I made 29 of them. It was amazingly simple and I suck as a handyman. They hang on the wall with a simple picture hanging hook so it didn't screw up the walls.

Holy crap man! I am just seeing your post now and must have just missed it the other day. Wow. I don't even know where to start because there is so much awesome in that room. Definitely listen to the same stuff, etc. I remember that Poison album that was replaced with a different cover, the RATT stuff, KISS stuff. I had that exact RATT poster that I saw in your pics and my Mom tore it down one day when she thought I was rebelling, etc. Little did she know that my sister's actions years later would make me look like a saint. LOL!
