Had the chance to check out the super cool Carstens Amplification - Grace - Billy Corgan Signature Amplifier. This amp has a really unique thing going on. It's huge, it's bold, it's big, it's brawny, has tons of gain on tap, but all the while remains incredibly clear & dynamic. It's also pretty dead quiet considering how much gain is available. No pedals used! Hope you dig it! ⚡

Hahaha!!! That riff at about 6:55, I remember hearing that in a smashing pumpkins live video, and Corgan breaks a string and they drop into the fattest riff ever!! Haven’t heard that riff in many years!!

What video is that from?

Great demo! I’ve been curious about this amp.

Checked this earlier. I always appreciate your song choice, and ability to both dial in and capture great tones. Pretty versatile for a single channel amp. I was digging the clean tones. Things rips at heavier settings.

IIRC: That riff is called "Jackboot" and he would use it occasionally during performances of Silverfuck. Billy breaks a string in the video of that track on Vieuphoria. That may be the one you saw.

Great demo. Sounds really thick and mean in a rock way ! Nice raw kinda tone , sounds great for that style of playing.

If that's the sound you're after, a Big Muff pedal is all you need. I use a Skreddy "Pig Mine" pedal.

This sounds a million times better than the video of Corgan playing it when they first announced the amp.

He made it sound like a big muff hooked straight to a power amp

Wow! I have to say this amp sound great. Never thought I'd say this but Grace sounds a lot better when you play her than when Billy does in the other YouTube demo!

Obviously you're a different player but I wonder if the speaker choice here is a factor. I saw you're running the 75w Creambacks in your 2x12. I've found that those tend to sound great with amps that are more naturally scooped. For example, to me they sound great with Fender or Fender-style (e.g., Mesa Boogie Fillmore 50) 6L6 based amps because they kind of fill out the midrange. I wonder if the same thing is going on here.

Honestly I had seen this amp before and watched the videos but wasn't super impressed until now. Now, I'm thinking about calling Brian and getting one made for me! What a great video, and nice playing. Keep rocking 🤘

Made me think or this ^^^^
Im surprised this one hasn't sold yet.
Thing about that amp is, it was not on any of what people consider to be their "classic" albums. Also, by the time this guy claims it was in Billy Corgans possession, he was already playing Diezels, Bogners and who knows what else...so who really knows how much of that amp was used on what. Still a cool amp, but if it were his 2203 he used on Siamese Dream & Mellon Collie or Gish....it would be a totally different ballgame.

^^^ This x 1000.

This amp was celebrity-owned but it is not a "celebrity amp" because it didn't appear on any of those classic Pumpkins recordings. By the time of the recordings mentioned in the ad, Billy had access to whatever gear he wanted and probably used dozens of guitars and amps on each album. As such, the asking price is just over-the-top. That's why you are seeing the price be cut over and over. I could see it selling for maybe $5-6k. That said, the guy says that he's had two non-paying buyers and that is just unacceptable; definitely one of my pet peeves.
