We are already designing a stereo Cameron power amp and a Cameron preamp to go with it for future release.

I am mostly a rack guy now, this sounds interesting....

This is basically what I always do..Pre into either the front end of an amp or in the return of the loop of an amp and 98% of the time it sounds killer etc, etc. Every now and then..not so much but what usually happens is. The ones that sound killer are $2.5 to$4K amps and it leaves me thinkin.....WTF!!??? What a waste and not "mentally sound" to use an amp of that expense and features as a power amp....Yeah...just another of my personal hells.....lol!!
What's weird is the pre takes on the tone of the amp more than I thought. Ex. The Fish sounded very much like a Diezel thru the Diezel loop!

Exactly!! You get the inherant tone of whatever amp your running into but..more flex/tweakability....but damn it can be an expensive undertaking depending on amp and pre combination which, In your case here is off the charts.....lol!!
Especially if I want to go (((stereo)))..

Best sounding amp/power amp I've used is a Friedman Kitchen sink into the return of the loop...it Almost didn't go back to it's rightful owner....

Todd, when you open up your Fish, see if you have a 12AX7 in the output (V9) or a 12AT7. If you have an AT7 there, change it to an AX7 and then report back.

You will get the biggest bang for your buck messing with V2, V3 and V6. Tung Sol's work well in V2 and V6. A vintage RFT or Mullard kick's ass in V3. C9's the rest of the way. As I mentioned, a 12AX7 is balls to the wall in V8. If you want to tame it a bit where you can get more power amp drive as opposed to preamp drive, drop a 12AT7 in V8. You will see what I mean...

been using this method for over 20 years. Best results have been with the most powerful tube amps with alot of clean headroom, and flat tone stack are the tickets. Reason why i have 2 majors and my 3 400 watts hiwatts, and a few other heavy hitters, they just kill as clean power amp setups, of course running into external mixes to balance everything is also the key. Full sound spectrum coverage all over the stage- 3 d sound if u will ! Trade off alot of gear to cart if only doing small gigs. But on large stages, this killed. The good old touring days, had alot of guitar techs quit on me, heheheh. But man you want to talk about a wall of sound. If i ever tour again on large stages, this would be the set up i would use. Remember using this new preamp going into the dr405's in stereo, everyone shit, i was bombarded by all the techies, guitar players, engineers, wanting to know how i was getting that tone. I hide the weapons behind a dummy blank front and rear panel in the rack, so one no would find out my secret. lots of outboard gear but that was just for show to fool all these hounds off my tracks, HEHEHE , just the big iron was and limiters/compressors, effects units were exposed and no one could believe what they were hearing, everyone wanted to know who did the mods,, hehehe no mods done to these bad boys but it was the pre's giving me the sound/tones.
the things we do for sound.
keep shredding !

Awesome story bro' who'd ya play for?

Gekki built it. Only about a dozen were made. All made to order. Got a couple kicking around still.

This sounds SO great! Honestly, this is my favorite vid of yours and that's sayin a lot! Please keep this up! Good Fish clips are hard to come by.
