I had wrote a long review, but when I went to post the pictures I lost my review.

Short version is I've only tinkered with the amp for a couple of hours. The main thing I noticed is the huge difference the Gain Style switch makes to your tone. It goes from a very open clear articulate gain too a slightly compressed feel too a real saturated all out balls tone.

I've never played a Cameron amp before, but the first thing I noticed was how well the amp responds to lead playing. The amp has a real chewy vibe to it.

And yes the clean channel sounds pretty good, but that's not where I spent my time.

I still can't figure out the which gain knob is for the solo boost and which is for the master. They both effect the gain regardless if your on the master or in solo boost. Not sure if I'm making any sence, but lats say your on the boost mode. You turn down one of the gains and the gain goes down. You would think that the other gain would have no impact, but it also responds the same.

I think you are confused. The dual gain pots work together like Marks Jose Mods. The amp just has a footswitchable master to boost you level for solos and such.

Awesome!!! Im gassing for one of these heads badly but im freaking broke.

worth the $$, the wait, and the anticipation in light of the controversy around here?

can you give compare it to other amps you've owned ?

thanks!

Looks awesome man! I am VERY glad to see these are going out  Can't wait to get mine

Still way to early to give this amp a proper review, but I'll tell you what I think of it so far. I played around with it through a 2x12 orange cab at moderate volume. As I mentioned earlier the Gain Style Switch makes all the difference in this amp. The open (center) setting is very unforgiving. I really can't wait to try the different settings in a band context.

Since I didn't have the option to try this moster out w/ my band, I took it upstairs and plugged it into a Bogner cube. I wanted to see how the amp performed at super low volumes. In the basement where I jam the amp has allot of breathing space, so low volume down there doesn't equate to low volume in my computer room where I tend to practice. The computer room is very small so I new the amp would be choked off relativley quick. Just to give a reference point of what I'm currently using in my computer room is a Suhr Badger 18 watt powerscaling amp pushed by a Jetter Goldstage OD pedal. Probably the best low volume rig you could possibly have IMHO. Obviously the CCV won't be near as versatile as the former set up, but this was my first test for the CCV. Initially the CCV could not perform at a comfortable low volume for the tiny room it was in. Just sounded way to choked out and trying to adjust the volume by C hair incriments was tedious. I spent a little bit of time flicking switches and eventually set the amp up w/ a real killer tone for that particular low volume set up. Now its not near as versatile as the Badger for low volume, but make no mistake about it I had the CCV at a very low volume level and it ripped! I know this isn't really an interest for most people that purchases a 100 watt amp, but it was an interest for me. Sometimes my band doesn't jam every week and it would kill me having this amp sitting in the basement waiting for the next band practice. Plus when I'm sitting home practicing some new toons I like to have a great tone! Now I know that I can use this amp upstairs at a comfortable volume and still retain a great tone. Can't wait to hear this amp opened up at band practice.

Here's a pic of the CCV on my Bogner cube.

Worth the money- YES

Worth the wait- I don't think anything is worth that long of a wait. But I was prepared for a long wait and I had some decent gear to keep me company.

The anticipation in light of the controversy- I truly believed that Mark wasn't out to screw anybody, but I couldn't figure out what the hell was taking him so long. Just based on my very limited time w/ this amp I would say that provided thiers no future technical problems than this line of amps is going to kick all sorts of ass- seriously!

Keep in mind that I haven't really enetered the honeymoon period w/ this amp yet. Am I extremely impressed thus far- Yes!

Its to early for me to compare this amp to others I've owned, but heres a quick list of some of my previous amps.

Thanks for an honest review. Hope it will turn out to be everything you're looking for once you get it down

cool. for sticking in there despite all the controversy. i'm hoping someday i can walk into any music shop and see a ton of cool amps w/o having to sift through bs

Flip the toggles above the master and solo knobs all the way to the right and that gain style will put you in bedroom mode, I put the toggle on gain 1 to the right and on gain 2 to the left

Kurt, would you say the master on the CCV is as good as Mark's Marshal mods for bedroom volume levels?

Sup!!

Not answering for Kurt but I found the MV to be just as good if not better on the production amps.
