We'll I have been goofing with it for about an hour and it takes no back seat to any ccv that I owned to date. The amp delivers flat out, let's put it this way I would take this over any ccv I had or heard to date. I don't own anything midi so I can't comment on that but the switching is clean with no pops. I only have a few minutes with the new loop and all seem's good. The only negative to me is the white power light. The amp has such a percussive tight punch to it, on top of the great gain structure makes for one hell of a fun amp to play. The amp comes loaded with jj 34's power tubes and all 12 ax7'c in the preamp. More info to come as I get used to dialing it in. 2 thumbs up for Brad and Co for actually making this happen  . BTW I am playing it thru my marshall 1960b loaded with 4 lynchback speakers. Next Wednesday my cameron cab will be here so we will see how that works out.

Congrats Art! Sounds like these amps are really delivering the goods!!

It's a ripper for sure, I think my 79 2203 jmp is hitting the block tonight because of it.

Damn Art. It looks killer. You did say you were going to be straight up and honest about the head so I know you are for real. I was waiting for your thoughts since you have owned and played quite a few. Your only complaint is the white jewel   Change it if you don't like it. You sound happy as hell with it. My GAS is killing me. Just took three Beanos.

Awesome. Congrats Art. Mine is in the trunk of my car. I need a good excuse to leave work early today. lol

Awesome! I'm so glad these are hitting the streets now. Can't wait (but I know I will have to) to get mine.

Looks like the knobs are real close to the bottom of the headshell and not centered on the front. Is that just weird lighting and angle in that picture? The older ones look to be more centered on the chasis and space between the bottom of the headshell.

The logo looks a little crooked......just kidding Brad.  :D

the knobs are very close to the bottom of the chassis, they actually cover up the ch1 and ch2 printing.

With the hand-written grease pen option, I don't have those issues :D

Back when Brad was posting pictures of the chassis I seen that as well, big gap between the switches and knobs/pots. I don't think the amps Mark was making himself look like that. Also looks like toggles instead of slider style switches. To bad the knobs are so close to the bottom of the headshell and cover up channel one and two.

I thought the price increase was because of using SED power tubes on production amps.

How much are they now?

JJ's, while I don't buy them, I actually like them in Marshall circuits and think they sound great. As long as they are culled, tested and re-culled, they are alright. I don't like too many in the preamp section. A good JJ12AX7 with low noise and low microphonics in V1 is actually pretty good for smoothing out and darkening an amp with loads of gain and top end. Don't get your JJ's from just anyone though. For JJ/Tesla type tubes, I prefer to buy rebranded ARS tubes as I know they are QC'd a little better.

I am glad the knobs will come a little lower on the new ones. On the original amps, the micro-switches were a little close to the knobs and not made for big fingers!

Mark chose the JJs over the SEDs. He liked the tone and reliability and the sound proves him right. As far as the knobs being a bit lower, we will have the holes moved up a touch on the next batch. It's not a cork sniffer TGP type amp with exotic bubinga hardwoods and elephant ivory knobs. It's a pissed off, greasy rock and roll amp.
