I'm just happy to be in on the (2nd run) CCV's. Everyone "secretly" knows those are going to be even better! :D

:checkthisout:

Nah. By then, Mark will have figured out how to approximate the tones of the first batch using cheaper components. Need to increase the margins!

I don't think there will be many CCV runs. Look ahead for something new from Mark.

A new design from Mark sounds like a great idea. Abandoning the production of the CCV - an amp whose revisions, design and overall build Brad and Rob just jumped through hoops to iron out and finalize - does not. The heavy lifting is done with the CCV. Components are selected and documented and the manufacturer now knows how to produce it. The profits should start coming with future runs. Why bail on it now?.....

Market is saturated. No one is buying a new one for $3100....................... :scared:

Saturated with what? Certainly not CCV's, as there are currently only a handful in existence on the planet.....

The problem isn't the amp, it's a mixture of people waiting to see when these amps actually start shipping and the fact that the U.S. economy is firmly and undeniably in the toilet. Not many people are willing to shell out $1k on a new amp, so $3k+ is a REAL stretch.....

Based on your comment above about the economy and no one willing to shell out the coin for such an expensive amp, why would the guys behind this project build more anytime soon? I wish them luck, but many more runs may be difficult.

I hear what you're saying, but the production model to-date is simply to manufacture a batch when enough orders and deposits have been received. It's not like Brad, Rob and Mark are going to lose money on account of holding an inventory of amps that aren't selling. There is no inventory.

At the same time, there is no reason to completely abandon the project either (unless the first and second runs produce little profit so the effort is not worth the time invested).

I simply read Steve's post to imply that the CCV will be "phased out" to accommodate or focus on a new design by Mark. My point was that they can do both - just wait until enough orders have come in for any given design/model before firing up the manufacturing again.

I'm hoping that there are at least enough sales for 3 runs (approx 45 amps total). Since Brad says he has sold 34 amps that means they only need to sell 11 more! Last word I heard was the MIA crew would be next inline to get their amps once the first 45 amps have been sold. I would love to get my amp by the end of the year.

I think people want to actually see CCV finished, play the amp, hear some clips and get some unbiased feedback before putting money on this amp. With all the past controversy and present delays, throwing down this kind of money on an unproven amp is a little bit over the top.

Guys,

Unless you see Rob or myself post something regarding Cameron Amps it is pure speculation by guys who really are just guessing with no clue what they are talking about regarding models and plans for future amps.

....and Steve K you just bought a guys place in line for one of the new CCV's 2 weeks ago so I guess you don't follow your own advise.

Good to hear. I read the AxeFx II update thread the other day and I literally felt sick for you and Rob. Some of the CRAP and ridiculous, unfounded speculation guys are writing there is absolutely irresponsible. The Cameron forum has had a lot of nudges for updates and info, but so far it hasn't been polluted by that nonsense. I pray it stays that way.

That's because I know and trust you and Rob. I was referring more to the general public who dip on and out or may know about the CCV. Nothing more. So don't anyone turn this I to rat shit. As a matter of fact, I told Rob to take my first run CCV and use it as a proto, store demo or whatever as I am in no hurry. I've got my SLO and a new Frideman Kitchen Sink waiting, 3 Camerons and other stuff to play.

Thats news to Brad and I.

We didnt spend all this time and money redesigning the board 3 times, implementing midi, metro effects loop, line out to just jump to something else. Brad and I have been pretty open with the plans of the models. We will do single channel versions of 3 of marks mods. We are gonna work on that at the end of the month. I want to do a an ultra high gain little 20 watt single channel. Mark modded a Blankenship carry on for me. I got the biggest transformers Mercury makes for a 20 watt design and its a little fire breather  . Mark wants to do a single channel ultra heavy amp. Ive already heard a modded Marshall with the heavy mod and its REALLY cool. The wild card will be the Modern and what we want to do with that design. The convos that Mark and I have had is that he wants to change the look and name of the modern to something else, which i think is a great idea. Brother Brad wil be in town mid September, we will finalize the plan for the modern then.

It's like I read your mind, before it even had these thoughts.....

Oops....i hope there's not two on order. Not sure I can handle that much NAD.

As for the other comment, it was for people to look for bigger and better things from Mark than just the CCV. But, I am keeping my fucking mouth shut on anything else concerning this amp.

Email me as soon as my amp is ready.

Me too. Please delete my thread Steve. I am more than happy to wait for my invoice whenever that may occur. I truly hope this amp is worth the aggravation.
