Great playing! Great sounding gain channel! Clean sound is horrible. I guess one doesn't buy a CCV for cleans though...

I am not a clean player so I thought the clean was good. What are some examples of good clean tones and I will see if I can cop them.

How about some clean-ish Plexi type tones? I'm thinking Peter Frampton "DYFLWD". I t would be ridiculous to request Fender type cleans out of any EL34 based/Marshall type amp.

I'll bet if you plugged in a Strat, and a Barber "Tone Press" you could get some really cool "spank" out of the CCV!
