What about the other stats that matter? Showing deaths without relation to the current infection rate is bias.
In Israel, the death per case rate dropped from 0.8% last January to 0.2% in Sept. In addition, about 50% of the deaths in Sept are unvaccinated people, who are 17% of the population.
So if you put that together: the vaccinated death rate dropped to 0.12% whereas the unvaccinated death rate is 0.58%
In other words, the vaccinated people are doing 4.8x better than unvaccinated when it comes to coming out of the hospital alive.

My point was, how interesting it is that Israel is the highest % vaccined country and they have the worst covid problem right now and Sweden, without any lockdowns or bs mandates or anything, they’re doing great!

I got the death and case rate numbers from the John Hopkins dashboard.
The vaccination rate info is from multiple Israeli news sources in the last 2 weeks.
As far the outcome of Sweden vs. Israel, I don't have any good explanation. They are different geographically, politically, economically, and socially. I can't speculate on why one has a spiking case rate. But the data shows the spiking case rate would cause a worse death rate if people were not vaccinated.
And I'm not preaching for everyone to get vaccinated. It is pretty clear that doesn't work and isn't worth the headache.

The other one is ‘breakthrough’, which can only happen AFTER 14 days post vaccine… Anything within 14 days is counted as a Covid UNvaccinated death… Total BS
I don’t know that many people in this world, but in my small town I know of 5 people by name who passed away within the first week of getting the shot.

I said I don't know why they have a spiking case rate. It's likely related to how often people interact with each other or isolate when sick (such as going to work when sick). The vaccine is definitely doing what was intended, which is priming the immune system to lower the risk of hospitalization and death.
That being said, as I've told my family that don't agree. Don't listen to me. Don't listen to Fox. Don't listen to CNN. Go to your primary care physician..and if you don't like what they say, go get a second opinion. If your doctor can't get the info you need to make a medical decision, you do you.

Hypothetically speaking, of course it would be much better for everyone if the whole covid thing (including vax/no vax, available therapeutics...etc) had not been politicized. But that is impossible.

What's rattled me a bit is just recently (as in this September 2021) seeing my kids (in their 30's and 40's) so sick from the effects of covid for weeks they could barely talk on the phone. Recently 3 people very close to me died from the complications of covid (including a 74 yr old drummer in a group I played in 6 wks ago. Just died in the VA hospital this past Tuesday from complications of covid).
I stop short of telling other people if they should get the vax or not. It is really their decision. I don't make it my business.
But all these people I speak of all skated getting sick with it last year.
I didn't want the vax when it first came out.
But in this past month seeing those in my family, and other close friends and acquaintances get either sick as hell or die...........at 63, I decided to get the Phizer vax. My wife also got the vax a day after me. She is 69 and type II diabetic. It's been a week after our second dose.
After reading, thinking, weighing pros and cons for right at a year, it seems to me that 1) even politicization aside, there is still a lot of unknowns. Everyone is learning as they go......what else can they do? 2) From where I'm looking, it seems the Vax does not prevent infection. If anything, it diminishes the chance of serious illness or death from covid. 3) Economics and politics convolute the hell out of the issues surrounding the covid pandemic making the decision of how to protect yourself way more difficult than it needs to be. It's damn near impossible to know who to trust.
I fully expect some of you to think, or even reply back here something to the effect of "well that stupid old bastard is scared and fell for the lies. If the vax kills him and his wife, they deserve what they get." If it happens just that way, well that's just the way it is.
I'm not seeking an argument or debate about any of this. Just expressing a little personal anxiety.
Crazy times.
I never thought I'd see what I'm seeing now in my lifetime.
Retirement is just a couple years away. I hope I live to make it there, and maybe get to enjoy a little of it.
We'll see........we'll see.

SQUAREHEAD... Fantom is correct about the fact that these vaxxes could prime the immune system. It is called Pathogenic Priming/Antibody Dependent Enhancement. Since no animal testing was done on any of these current vaxxxes then absolutely no one can state that these safety signals that are being seen in VAERS in realtime is not the pathogenic priming that was seen in all coronavirus vaxxxes that had animal testing in the past. Is that not the purpose of animal testing as required by the FDA prior to using any drug or treatment in humans?
Can it be denied that these vaxxes are causing Myocardits/Pericardits in people less than 30 especially in teenagers, the FDA had to add that warning to all of these vaxxxes, that is a fact.

I would NEVER condemn anyone for getting the vaccine, in return, I think those that choose NEVER to get the vaccine should be extended the same courtesy.
