I'm about to pull the trigger on 2 M65 creams.

You fuckers better be right mixed in a 4x12 w/V30's
Let us know!
I'm either getting two M65, a first and then two CL80s or vice versa. I already have V30s with Redbacks in my one 412, and I think I want some variety here.

Just ordered a pair of Redbacks. I plan to blend them with v30s. Other cabs have 4 greenbacks, 4 V30s, 4 M65 and 4 H75. I think I'm gonna go back to a mix of v30/H75 in one cab, maybe I'll try that v30/M65 mix as well. I do like the 4 Greenbacks in a single cab tonally, but they just don't have the tight feel/response I like.

Redback/V30 is great.
Excited to try M65/V30 or CL80.
I do like K100/V30, but it can be bright and stiff.

Grrrr..damn it
Non in stock

Amazon is trying to rape me on the price.
$227:jerkit:
Everyone else $159.00

I think you'll dig 'em man. I have found the Redbacks blend well with just about anything, although I'm not particularly fond of them by themselves. Surprisingly, the have a fairly soft attack like an Alnico Cream, but offer more sizzle, and a bigger beefier low end. Definitely in the same vein as Greenbacks/Creamback M65.

I think blending with the v30 will help tighten them up. It did work for the Alnico Creams which I liked better blended with v30s rather than on their own. v30/H75 is still my favorite combination. Though Redback/H75 might be cool to try as well.

Are you using Chinese V30's? Have you tried Mesa's? I'm thinking about picking up a pair of H-75's to try. Also thinking about Scumbacks but that's another rabbit hole lol.

I prefer the Chinese v30s over the Mesa v30s. Love the H75s. I'm a big fan of Scumbacks too, though they are a little smoother than I go for these days. I've mostly used his M, H and J speakers. I'd like to try the BM at some point has I believe those are brighter/more aggressive sounding as Jim describes them as having more bite than the Ms.

Anybody tried a redback/goldback combo? I remember somebody claiming that this is the preferred combo of Rick at Wizard

Scumbacks Blackback offerings has my interest as well. I'd love to try out a couple BM55hz and BH55hz models as see how they compare to my Heritages.

I recently picked up a 2nd old Boogie (Mark 3 Era) 4x12.

Also bought a pair of Creambacks from the same seller. I had a pair of CL80s in an unused 2x12, so I threw them in the bottom.

I'm still learning the setup, and the speakers definately sound 'new' and not broken in. But so far it seems super aggressive and tight.

I'm running it in stereo with the other Boogie with the classic c90/EV200s. Which has a much warmer and thumpier sound.

I’ve got a small house and a young daughter, so I’m doing 100% IRs.

G12m65 is my go to speaker for metal. Regardless of what the EQ curve actually is, to my ears it sounds the most neutral - it’s what I expect the amp to sound like. I also like v30s for lots of high end and greenbacks for that unique midrange character, but to me each of those is a cool “filter” over the neutral ceramic creamback.

Apparently it’s possible to blend 2 different IRs into one, would be an interesting way to sample some unique speaker combinations. @mhenson42 thanks for the tip, gonna try blending a redback/alnico cream combo.

I’ll set up my Engl cab with creamback 65s and V30s and mic it up with the 101B this weekend and send some clips your guys way. Everything from clean to scream. That should be a really unique tone actually, probably never really been done before ( Engl cab with 65s and an xtc) so I’m interested to see what I come up with.

You guys that like the CB M65, what's a good blend? My one 412 is Redbacks and V30 and I want this other 412 cab with good lower volume speakers. Was gonna do M65s and CL80s but I am thinking maybe older T75s or maybe G1265s.
