I can be a bit of an old timer and I had pretty much dismissed the Celestion Neo Creamback (all Neo magnet speakers for that matter). But my recent offset 2x12 Super Reverb build had me searching for 12" speakers with an open mind. And after listening to a lot of clips the Neo Creamback kept coming out on top. It's not a Greenback, I have vintage Greenbacks/Creambacks for that and that's not what I want for this combo. Check these out, I think I prefer the Neo in every clip. It crushes the M Creamback in the last clip imo. I also like this dudes playing. Anybody been using these?

Three years ago I threw one in my DSL40, in order to lighten my grab and go practice combo. Sounds great. Happy with it

I use them in my gigging 2x12…a tad crispier than my fav M75s, but worth it for the weight savings.

Excellent speaker, used it ones but sold them when I quit gigging with my friends.

I just installed one of them in my 2x12 offset Super Reverb paired with an old G12-65 I already had in there and I can definitely hear the extra sparkle. I bought 2 of them but I don't think I'm going to install the second one just because I think the sparkle is about just right as-is and two of these would be too much for this combo. The G12-65 doesn't have much so I think they pair well. Weird combination for a Super Reverb tho.

They are not loud. I think these can be paired with speakers like older Greenbacks or G12-65 and not overpower. When I compared to my 4ohm 2x12 open-backed cabinet with 75W Creamback/EV the cab was noticeably louder/bassier than the combo even tho I have both 8ohm and 4ohm taps and set accordingly. But that combo has a low mid punch that's addictive.

Awesome, glad it worked out, Im using mine with a Fm3 modeling rig, so its pretty simple to eq them to taste.

Mine are mounted in a port city 2x12os...shockingly light for its size.
