How do you do, fellow kids?

As my Vintage 30 quest is slowly coming to an end, I'm already down the next rabbit hole - Vintage 30s not made by Celestion and V30 alternatives! So far I've lined up:

Popular speakers with similar flavours:
- WGS Veteran 30
- WGS Retro 30
- Mojotone BV30V
- Eminence Governor
- Fane / David Laboga Mamzer 30

Popular speakers supposedly in the same tonal ball park:
- Fane F70
- Eminence Legend V128
- Jensen Nighthawk

Popular alternatives:
- Eminence DV77
- Hesu Demon

Are there any other obvious choices? Anything I am missing? I know Ted Weber makes a few but they are hard to get in Europe.
Mesa version.

Bump

I’d like to mix something V30-ish with a G12M-65 creamback but not a V30 as the mids don’t sit where I like them. By chance are there any other comments from experience or new speakers to mention?

See if Avatar speakers have anything. They also make/sell Fane. I kept various mixes over the years. Mostly a type of V30/GB mix. I now have AV75s in that same cab and have zero intentions of swapping them out except for speaker shootout testing.

I'll stick with what I replied back then; Weber Gray Wolfs.
I've had mine for a while and still really like them. It's like the best parts of a Blue, V30 & CL80 rolled into one. Or in terms of Weber speakers a mix of the Blue Dog, 12-30 & 12-80 which is their equivalent to the named Celestion speakers. To me it's a very familiar tone but still has a uniqueness that sets it apart to not be a generic clone.

I've got an Avatar 4x12 and a Mesa 4x12 from the same time period, they sound pretty damn good now, but I do remember when I first got that Mesa cab i did not like it at all... now, I love it. Seems to have smoothed out over time from a lot of loud playing.
Your tone is going through a momentary contact switch in the input jack. Go single jack, series/parallel, with big wire and throw a switch in there to add the wire for parallel/series so you can go back to "stock." You've never heard what that cab can really do. It's a God damned shame Mesa and Marshall fuck it up so bad stock. Friedman and Bogner are based single-jack chads tho.
