It was about how eating foods that contain the chemical can potentially help you live longer. It was not about retaining the chemical through abstinence.
It even went as far as saying “The trouble is that people would need to begin ingesting spermidine from the time they begin eating solid food to get this kind of significant improvement in their lifespans”
So it was really just an academic article.
The article was about what the title line before the link said: Sperm contains compounds that prolong lifespan, fight cancer & heart disease
If you are trying to find things in the article the title didn't mention, be my guest.
