Ceriatone King Kong 50 vs Chupacabra 50

Which one is more versatile? looking for Jose modded marshall 80's rock/metal tones, and Hendrix tones, with ability to dial in 90's Jerry Cantrell tones if needed. Thanks in advance

The King Kong is more versatile, by virtue of being a two channel amp. Channel 1 is based on a Plexi, but with Era and Bright switches. Channel 2 is in the same vein as the Chupa/Yeti, but with an additional solo boost. The Presence and Resonance controls have additional switches to finetune their frequencies.

I'll add that Channel 2 of the KK is voiced similar to the Yeti by default, but Nic will do it like a Chupa if you want.

It's almost like a 2.5 channel amp. The "Solo" control is just a second master volume for channel 2...but it has its own ERA switch, so when you switch masters on Channel 2, you can also switch between different clipping diodes. Even though both of channel 2's masters share gain and EQ, the additional tone shaping you can do with the switchable masters is almost like having part of another channel.
