it was only a matter of time before someone would say this and I'd rather it be you who's been pretty civil to me over the past couple years than someone else....LOL...

the difference is, ralph, is that when people give scott money they get an amp....even when he was doing mods before he launched his own line he would turn it around in a short period...he's a four man operation...and in the past two years he's extended from the quick rod to the quick rod and four other amps...AND cabinets...several different kinds..straight, slant, hybrid straight/slant, 2x12, oversized 2x12, open and closed backed....as well as a host of other things

by my last count in the past two to three years, they've built five HUNDRED quick rods alone...and he's not even open on the weekends....

mark's had a buddy's marshall in for mods (paid in full) for nearly two years now..two years...that's deplorable...I can understand why people are pissed..but given his slow turn around time, I don't see how people could expect they'd get their new amps any quicker...I guess they were hoping to get them quickly, but the writing on the wall shows that it wasn't going to happen...so why people should be shocked is beyond me...if you give him money to pre order an amp, you should expect to wait...waiting's not easy, but it is what it is...not to say I don't have any sympathy for them, but they bought their tickets! they knew what they were getting into!!! lol (airplane! fan, anyone?)

when I 'defend' scott, it's usually to clear up things or to shed light on things people aren't clear on....what kinda knobs are on it, how the channel swtiching works, etc, etc....sure, I can get heated...but that's usually when someone else starts ragging on me or says something that's just not true....I don't come out guns blazing 'you're selling your QR?? that's because you can't play! get outta hear ya loser noob!!'...I spit fire when I'm confronted though...that much I'll admit..lol

and half the time I don't even bring scott or his amps into the conversation...most of my posts have come about in threads like 'amp X is comming out...it's gonna be a splawn killer!!!'..which is old hat...first it was cameron at NAMM 07, then when that didn't hit, it was the JVM in its place, etc, etc....and usually when people ask about one of his amps, I chime in...cause I have one..I've gigged with it and have used it in my home...so I know a little bit about what it's capable of....I got labled as a 'fanboi' because what? people would ask a question about an amp I'd own and I'd answer them? c'mon..that's just silly =) if someone asks about a mark IV, are you not going to try to help them with your years of experience with the amp? Of course you will! You know the ins and outs of those things as well as anybody else, so why not try to answer somebody's question?

I've said on countless occassions that my amp is not for everyone (there are many like it, but this one is mine!..hehe)...people don't remember those instances though...they seem to latch onto the times when I'm so far gone into a fight with someone regardless of how it started, that I'm a foaming lunatic

the thing that gets me is alotta people have heated opinions on this are ones who don't even have a cameron or have never played one..you, kage, etc, etc.you guys have played the amp..you dig it, it's up your alley, so I can see you sticking up for it....so all this really isn't directed at those who've played it already....and you're sticking up for an amp that you actually have money down on...

I dunno dude...been hearing about how the camerons are 'the ultimate amp/modded marshall' for so long now from people who may have played them but don't even own them...make sense?

Tell you what, I think Odin actually checked out the clips again and again and now gassing for one. This is his lame excuse to order one

Carl did something simular a while back. He was slaming the tone in one of my clips and went off in the typical Carl fasion. The next day he PM's Mark asking him if he'd mod an amp for him. Mark told him to go fuck himself!

I've stated from the first time I heard the CCV-100 that I wanted one. That hasn't changed. I don't believe that the odds of anyone here getting one are very good considering the circumstances, but I still would like to have one.

I know and I'm just teasing you about the irony - I've bought 2 Splawns and Scott was great to work with. I just happen to prefer the Camerons I've had....

As far as the "people should have known" angle - everyone seems to be forgetting that when Cameron amps started, it was said that Chris Schmidt who owns or runs a mil-spec electronics manufacturing company would be handling the production and communication. Those were the main issues everyone had with dealing with Mark, so why wouldn't you have confidence in placing an order?

Now, it seems like no one is communicating, and the manufacturing is all on Mark, but that wasn't the way it was portrayed when things were starting up and everyone put their money down... So people had good reason to expect things would be different with the production amps.

It definitely makes sense Matt and I was just ribbing you a bit! The only thing Im trying to do is point out fact from fiction.
Its very easy to get a mob mentality going.
I'm not condoning some of the stuff that has gone on but Im merely trying to shed some light on the subject.
Someone waiting for there amp to be modded for 3 years is unacceptable...plain and simple but someone also speculating that no amps are going out or implying that customers money was used for a NAMM booth is also unacceptable. That's the point here. There is no doubt in anyones mind that things could have been handled better, Im not arguing that fact, but when someone blatently tries to stir shit up and spews a lot of falsehood, I cant help to comment.
My original repy to you was based on what I saw you do when People were talking crap about Scott Splawn. Scott never had the business problems that Mark now has but there were plenty of people talking shit and I thought that you set them straight about a few things.
