AMEN!!! THANK YOU POPS!!!

I tell people this ALL THE TIME that come and hear the amp.

See, I like the idea of hard bias because you can still change tubes. I put KT-77's and GZ-34's in my rectifier and it literally sounds 5x better than stock (but that's because Mesa sets the stock bias level sooo cold) So by putting the 77's in and running in el34 mode it gets the bias up where it should be and it sounds great.

But here's the thing. If Diezel did hard bias, I'm sure he would set the bias at a proper level so that the tubes would get cookin a bit. Either way, too many people blow tubes on Diezels.

I come over and install the EL34´s by myself :gethim:

:D
im sorry but i love herbie with 6l6s.its my fav amp...but i just didnt like it until the switch

Maybe a more open view can solve this little problem:

-how many Diezel Amps users here on rig talk are pro musicians?
-we want a always reliable amp to play or we just like experimenting on amps and switching them with no rest?
-i'm pretty sure Diezel want to satisfy every kind of customer,no tube problem related IMHO is one of the first thing
that an amp builder should care.

:)

To be honest, I don´t want to get a bad
call because of this big amount of tube
issues. The last year was horrible and I
didn´t sleep well.

Dont worrie Peter
By this time almost everybody knows how it is with the tube related issues
While other companies/amp builders hide behind the stores that sell there product, minimum of warranty and a shit load off paperwork before you can get something done. I have the upmost respect for you to deal with all off us through a forum, tel, fax, mail and even skype

I can understand that you work everyday and see all the problems the users have with the amp here on the board, please keep in mind that most people will post when there is an issue, everybody knows that the line of amps you provide are great and almost indestructible and im also happy to see a lot of posts where the thread is about how good the amp is. When i get calls its most off the time that there is trouble at work, part of the service i provide, i almost got a phobia for my telephone ringing, always thinking WHAT IS IT THIS TIME(hart always pounding faster), after a while i got to see thats its part of the job, exept it and work the problem out as best as you can

Im also verry happy to see that Olaf hasent left youre side and also helps us out a lot and lately mark2C is doing a damn good job here  you guys

There is an solution for the tube isseus, going sold state, i highly recommend you NOT to go that way

Peter, i just got the the fuse holder in the mail. My thanks to you and Lars for the fast support.

I would consider myself a pro between all the playing & session work i do. These are my main amps for everything. Reason #1. They sound great! Reason#2..They work everytime i fire them up. Never had any issues with my Diezels in over 7 years!! Reason#3- Peter!! Never too busy to help in any way.

150-200 shows a year plus sessions & rehearsals. And even with the tube issues going on, i have never had tubes fail left & right. Use them a year (or when they start to sound different) and then i replace. So i think i have put these amps thru the motions

Mad love to Pappa!

Sorry for my terrible English .
My tought is that avoid tubes problems is one of the first thing the Peter should care.
And he always do it!

Aw hell, we're all just gear whores, and when we're not playing our favorite amps, we're fantasizing about what to dress them in (ie: tubes). Ya know, I always remind myself what the best guitarists (at least 'best' in my opinion) did and do with their amps... They typically plug in, roll their fingers along the tops of all the knobs, dime the hell outta them and simply HAMMER!!! Today, replete with all these tasty fantastical choices of NOS and exotic glass for our precious amps, it's an OCD thing...we obsess about our gear, this obsession leads to ponderings we can peruse while blankly staring into a screen while at work....this tube's got sizzle, this one shimmers, this one has a defined bass, this one - well - this one totally encapsulates me as a musician and what I represent as a sonic offering to those lucky enough to hear me!! While the true hammergods are out tearing up their fingerpads :D

Whatever rolls Poppa - you've got a killer product and a killer following :2thumbsup: I love my 6550's in my VH4S and ya, they might pop, and when they do? I'll replace 'em. So it goes...

To the tastiest sounding amps and their league of devout followers - I salute us all :rawk:

Peace,
V.

OCD is a new way (DSM) to descibe what Freud called "obsessive neurosis"..they involve basically the same things: obsessions and compulsions.
The best way to solve it in this thread?

Follow Peter's advices! :D

P.s. Ventura,my friend, you have done a well description of OCD: infact the patinet always says that he want to get rid of his obsessions,complulsions,rituals..
..but in reality he likes ( in a disturbed way ) them... :aww: :gethim: :D

True. The patient likes them, in a disturbed way or not, because it's a form of control and comfort. Nevertheless, the beauty, sick beauty if I may say so myself, of this entire forum, is that we're all gear heads, and when we're not able or capable to play, we end up here. And 'here' can sometimes take over the 'there' of playing, as I've seen some pretty quick turn arounds from peeps who came on board with one rig and devout at that, and then within a week, said they hated their rig and were buying something that was fresh on the forum that week. We think about effects, racks (both kinds, Pauly...), strings, pick ups, cords (CORDS for chrissakes!!!), amps, tubes, speakers, grille cloth, power supplies - I mean seriously, it's an endless vortex to sate our continuous psychology of sonic and musical depravity!! And the beauty is.............................??

It never really ends. However, it DOES end for me, the moments I am NOT at this keyboard, but with my 6 string in hand... And on that note, sayonara!!
