There are a couple new nice colors including a Plus version in Platinum Pink, Scorched Earth and Snow White with matching headstock and other features that look amazing and some "weathered" or relic options that equally look amazing but checking out these two possibly.....

For $899.99 and some change with taxes...... maybe a discount is Charvel still banging out a solid axe in 2025 and well damn how the hell are they doing it. With the recent move of Fender to putting Indonesian Standards to the line..... I mean these MIMs are still the best value in the market it seems vs pretty much anything and hold their value pretty well thanks to the limited runs in colors.

And they are just amazing, already have two San Dimas Style 1 HH in maple and ebony but can't help to possibly add one more ebony to the stable. Especially for these prices and the quality they have to offer IME.

Great necks, solid satin finishes that give that broken in feel like a vintage or relic, compound radius, wheel truss rod at the heel, dual graphite rods in the neck for added tuning stability, rolled fingerboards and decent hardware and pups too...... not bad.....not bad.

Friggin Charvel...... you don't really need another guitar..... but Charvel says you do ^_^

Steve Vai Crossroads. These two are garbage/firewood.

Break down of the new Charvel stuff for 2025 including Plus models and new Super Stocks >_<

(y)
Bang for the buck fo sho.
Yeah especially vs pretty much everything else on the market short of Ibanez or Shecter regarding imports coming outside of MIJ or MIK......... and even nicer than some MIA stuff IMO.

It's just top shelf gear for not a whole lot all things considered.

Pro Mod SoCal in Pharoahs Gold...... pretty much Charvels "Shoreline Gold".

So this is just the same thread as on another forum then?

🤔
Yeah trying to seek input from others on what guitar looks best and as much input as I can as I dont make such purchases all the time. Definitely a tough choice needless to say.

Both look awesome though thankfully and can't go wrong with either.

So pretty much the new Plus versions of the San Dimas come with contoured heels and back horn sculpts along with caramalized necks and 1500 Floyds and matching headstock.

SoCal Plus same sculpted and caramalized treatement with Evertune.

Hardtail Plus San Dimas much the same as a Floyd version just and HT version.

Maybe the nicest new one aside from the new San Dimas colors for both standard Ebony (Satin Ferrari Red/Pharoah Gold) and Maple colors (Pelham Green/Gloss Black) is the new San Dimas Pro Mod Super Stock.

The new San Dimas Pro Mod Super Stock has cream covered Dimarzios in HSH, reliced Alder nitro body vs an Ash body, Floyd Rose 1000, caramalized Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard...... The Best part is it comes in Aged Arctic...... And one can easily change that pickguard for a mint green, white/cream or Black one too.

Breaking the tie with a vote for the Ferrari Red. These look great but I wonder how the necks compare to the DK24, just too thin for me.

That blade selector switch sucks and is in a shit location. 🤣

Recessed Floyd’s…nope.

More failure from Fender / Charvel.

Put me in charge and I’d make a few simple models that would sell. Not this crap.

I'll agree with you on the recessed Floyd.

The switch location isn't too bad for me but the volume knob is a little too close to the switch for my Fred Flintstone fingers but I make it work anyway. It looks like it's been spaced out better on the Evertune model.

The 6 pack of sound setup seems odd to me though because you can't get the middle position with both humbuckers unless you rewire it. How can I do Jimmy Page licks without the middle position?

I love the necks on these though. The San Dimas / So Cal typically are in the goldilocks zone for me. I've picked up 3 used examples of the HT versions of these, and I think that the most I've paid was $550. They've got to be one of the most bang for the buck guitars out there. YMMV.

One that probably passed under everyones radar this year.... Charvel 1984 San Dimas Custom Shops..... come with either EMGs or Dimarzios and Fat 50s ^_^
