I'm thinking Knockoff. A strathead Jacjson is rarer then a Strathead Charvel and I can assure you that it would not be gong for $650
Hell, Im not even sure if there ever was a Strathead Jackson so beats me!!
 
His site has pictures of the neck pulled with some stuff written on it, he is stating 86 DK body with a GMW neck and has the history so that is what I have to go by. I am sure this guitar had the pointy toothpaste logo neck on it at one point.

If that is a USA jackson body and GMW neck that is a very good price for that guitar imo.

If I did not have RVS's RG565 coming any day now I would have bought that guitar to cure my raw maple gas, just love the GMW necks!
 
i'd love to take that, already got my next few months' gear funds tied up elsewhere tho
 
Yeah that's a strange mutt. It is an ontario body by the looks of it (I doubt it was actually manufactured in '86... maybe '87 or after) with a San Dimas plate. Strange.
