Check out Pete Thorns demo of the Tone Of The Gods Pedal. - WOW!

So I think the Kingman vid sounded more “intriguing” than Pete’s

I think this was a “Google all the gear forums and paste” post. This is definitely NOT the board for these tones. Also... not a great early post for a new user. At least act like you wanna be part of what’s going on here! Lol.

Agreed that the guy didn't go about this well, but it's not exactly a big deal.

I for one only get my feathers ruffled if someone is intentionally being a dick, opinionated or disrespectful. I don't think the OP has crossed the line at all so I wish him luck with this product. I mean the more entrepreneurs out there making toys for us the better, would be nice if they were encouraged rather than criticised at every turn.

Patiently waiting now..... 😄
a chug review coming from Leon Todd on youtube within the next couple of weeks. We are going to make it chug . :-) stay tuned on the pedals website for the new reviews in the coming weeks

Pete makes everything sound good....that, didn't sound good to me. If Pete can't make it sound good ( to my ears), what's the point

@donbarzini is a fukkin weird snarky tool who can’t play a barre chord as far as I can tell. At least the op has the balls to put his face and name out there, and this pedal seems pretty cool.

Say what you want—I don’t see anyone else taking a run at the Schaffer preamp design. There are 100 TS variations and about the same number of Klones. There is no question the Solodallas one sounds great, it’s just so noisy. If you aren’t into that tone fine but Angus is pretty much the tits and that is a big part of his sound.

Yeah, that and completely the wrong target audience as well.
I'm watching the Thorn video, and all I keep thinking is, who the hell on this board is looking for that kinda tone?
most of the sales have come from this board in the last couple of days.

thanks for the feedback. No pedal is for everyone. We just built a combo of circuits in the same pedal enclosure that we didnt see on the market and they worked perfectly together. A lot of people will love it and some wont need it. And as we all know, there are some people who are so unhappy in their personal lives they see anything and snark at it like this donbarzini dude or what ever his name was. there are lurkers on all forums. got a lot more demos coming, from Mike Hermans and Leo Todd in the next two weeks. Mikes will be similar to petes and leon todds is going to run right through, low, medium, and then focus on boosting high gain amps, so that will be fun. Its all fun at the end of the day. At the end of june henning pauly will be doing a big Europe demo, look out for that, should be great.

Yeah man there's a lot of negativity on forums, mostly because of the anonymity / lack of consequence for being a dick. Congrats on what looks like a cool product, hope it goes well for you.

thanks mate, rock on!!

I love this idea, not many people doing versions of that SoloDallas type circuit.

And the Timmy topography is actually really underrated for high gain stuff, I haven't watched Leon Todd's video but I'm sure it will be good.

I use an LPD Dutch (another version of the Timmy circuit, this time combined with a MIAB) to boost the British channel on my Larry for leads all the time (even though it doesn't really need it) to shake it up and get a different texture for leads.

I think RTs general style of gearhead will be pleasantly surprised - though the Pete thorn video isn't exactly "showing off" those type of tones.

yeah i wish pete turned up the grind gain knob, and the preamp gain, and also the HV boost boost knob, was weird why he didnt turn those up into their designed function. Since he didnt crank it, i am getting leon todd to do high gain demos just to show off the high gain end of the pedal. ill create a bunch of demos over the next few months to show off different settings

So this pedal is a clone of the Schaffer preamp?

Leon Todd? Love the guy, seems really down to Earth. But no matter what he plays be it Fractal, Line 6, real amps, he sounds exactly the same. He demonstrates gear, gives great tutorials, but you know exactly what anything he demos is going to sound like before he hits a chord. Not necessarily a bad thing, just what it is.

its youtube, always at least a little different than when you have the pedal at home. I agree wholeheartedly. We do our best to try and give accurate tone tests. So far, petes, shanes and bretts have sounded pretty good. Its more about the effect than the sound when testing in some regards on youtube, as you can see what a knob does in the demo. I agree though, i wish youtube had some type of high Definition audio file upload ability. Would Get all of us closer to a better test result

Thanks. Tallcoolone’s comment I’m responding to alludes that is a Schaffer preamp design. I didn’t see any correction, so that’s why I responded asking.
yeah we based it on schaffer and benson style circuits to come up with a similar that suits that section of the pedal. just similar in design with quite a few changes to make it feel better in its response
