I guess a Gibson into a Marshall will now officially be the most corporate guitar rig possible, since both are owned by venture capital firms.
Prior to Marshall Santiago Alvarez worked for Behringer .No worries....look at Bugera, only caught fire the first few years....everything is fine.
Not “Chibson” into Marshall?I guess a Gibson into a Marshall will now officially be the most corporate guitar rig possible, since both are owned by venture capital firms.
Some years ago I ran across a blog clickwrapped by an "End Sellers License Agreement" with some fairly vile terms. As time goes on however that idea keeps sounding better and better. To paraphrase Metallica, screw 'em all.Don't think for a minute that it wasn't malice. "Your amp is at risk of fire due to a voltage offset issue from firmware rev3.4 so we have disabled it in order to protect our loyal customers. Please visit one of our authorized dealers for immediate service. We apologize for any inconvenience, please enjoy 10% off of your next cucumber water*"

Roland Binger before Marshall.
But alot of people need to educate themselves in general concerning this incredible designer rather than toss around generalizations and very non specific contexts.
And....
Kudos for the power scaling and above and beyond features but I can’t put a guy on a pedestal who hasn’t had an amp come to market that I think kicks ass or would even buy.

He “designed” a re-issue with no added features. It’s like saying I designed my Superlead kit I put together.I was joking.
Santiago designed the 2555x. An amp that I love and an amp that frequently fights my JCM 800s for top of the heap.
Ok.He “designed” a re-issue with no added features. It’s like saying I designed my Superlead kit I put together.
Reproducing a schematic is not designing an amp.
Marshall is looking for guys just like you, sign up....I hear the bathroom is nice at the sweatshop.Reproducing a schematic is not designing an amp.
All features that didn’t actually improve the sound from the original or change how the audio signal is manipulated from the original schematic. All the things you mentioned are mods or maintenance. Any amp repair guy who put in bias test points or redid the ground scheme is just modding an existing design.Marshall is looking for guys just like you, sign up....I hear the bathroom is nice at the sweatshop.
PS: he did revise the switching ?relays?, upgraded the power supply wiring, and I am not certain if he was the guy who designed it with the genius external bias section.
