Yes. Pretty good.
His interview on RB was good. He talked about writing that Album and living in an apartment and selling weed.. LOL

Yeah, he's a gear nut like us, and is a HUGE Zeppelin fan...Hard Rock all the way. His writing put him in another genre though. And a great player in his own right.

Yeah, I knew. One of those guys that flies under the radar.

Nice solo but it is really that mind blowing? I think singer/songwriters/frontmen who also happen to play guitar often get held to lower standards regarding lead playing than dedicated lead guitarists. As if it gets a little more praise than it warrants because it’s a relative “surprise” he can play at least this well.

Maybe view it more if era dependent, it's not like you can't 5 year old girls that can't do it on YouTube these days but the fact is for the times he was boss.

And then there's this...

Ive known since the 1970's. He was an early Boogie player.
He is a full-on force of musical nature.

Ever hear of a guy called Ian Thornley?

He might change your mind on that.....lol

I didn't know this until about 5 or 6 years ago. I grew up with all his yacht rock stuff on the radio in the early 80s. It blew my mind when I found out the guy is a top notch guitar player. And like you guys said, gear head too. He plays Andersons I believe.
