Cool bands that use Wizard amps.

I'm Australian but discovered them while living in San Diego. On a trip back to Oz to visit family I bought almost every cd they had (just after Roll On was released). Ended up seeing them in a small club in San Diego and they just floored it. The guitar tech was super cool and showed me his White Falcons and he was using Wizards by then even though the Roll On CD was recorded with an old Plexi. Great band.

I actually hear a lot of older Midnight Oil In his rhythm playing.
 
Bit of a bump, but I got to see The Living End live last night, bloody amazing as always. AND Chris is still rocking his Modern Classic 1, but he now has a new addition:

bit hard to see, but its a Modern Classic 2, with the label "Custom Built for CHRIS CHENEY by Rick St Pierre" and he is now rocking 2 new 4x12's
if you guys get a chance you should check out their new album "The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating" its a corker!

Cool, great band. I've the Modern Classicll. Wonder what custom options Chris got.
 
I think from his sound it'd be more tooled towards the ballsy clean breakup tone as opposed to higher gain tones.

I got a close up, albeit very blurry picture of the control positions and it appears that he is just running it on the clean channel almost cranked with all 3 boosts on.
though I'm not completely sure as I havent seen a detailed pic of the control layout on the 2 to compare with the 1's
 
living end are great, kind of remind me of a stray cats meets green day meets the clash. I saw them yrs ago and they kill live.
 
I love how the "Cool bands that use Wizard amps thread" has turned into a "The Living End rock!" thread, Great to see so much Living End lovin! they kick ass live, i urge everyone to get out there and see them if you get a chance!
i had the pleasure of getting to play though Chris' rig last month, which included his Wiz MC and MC2. Amazing tone! It seems like he runs a 100w MC on the lead channel, and that new MC2 on the rhythm channel. Chris said that its 50w, completely stock, and Rick sent it over saying that he thinks he will really like it haha.

Just a heads up, im gunna be looking for a 100w MC in the next couple months if anyone was looking at offloading a black and white one with a large logo :D :thumbsup:

I just cant get over his tone!

Cool, :thumbsup: Yeah the Rhythm channel sounds great, used it during recording last weekend.

Bit late to the party here, but I would just like to profess my Living End love as well! MitchPTV ended up getting that Wizard incase anyone was keeping tabs :thumbsup:
