The only thing I would consider changing is having two channel A's so I could have one with a lower gain setting and one higher - though I can usually get there just by rolling down the volume before the preamp and backing off the strings (I find the module very 'touch sensitive' so you can often go from clean jangle to chimey break-up just by laying into the strings).

I agree with this only because channel A seems to have a little more treble in it. Channel B seems a little darker to me. Maybe my ears are playing tricks on me because of the increased gain.

A 5751 really is the bees knees in the VX module. Yea, thats right, bees knees...wassup.

Have you tried a JP 5751 in V1 of the VX. Really helps clean up Channel A!! I love the VX even more w/ a JP 5751 in V1 for SURE! :)

Eric

Yes - I'm now using 5751 in VX and T/D and I prefer it for sure. Will probably get my T/D converted to D/D after hearing clips of D/D - I use the T/D a lot and get very good tones from it but mine has never really nailed that classic 'pushed BFDR' tone for me, but the D/D clip I recently heard sounded amazing.

Quick question. Looking at the front of the module is V1 to the left? I have a couple of JP 5751's and I'm not sure what side to put them in.

Correct, looking at the module, V1 is on the left.
